Kinky Boots

Michael and I took a quick trip to Birmingham today to see Meghan, Ed, and Kinky Boots! We had such a fun adult night out, even if I was skeptical about Kinky Boots.

The girls stayed with GranDi and Granddad. I don't think they're missing us too much!

Birmingham

We got up this morning and headed downtown to Children's for Julia's appointment with the pediatric pulmonologist. Fortunately they were able to rule out seizures, apnea or any other major health problems as the cause for all of Julia's sleep walking. Unfortunately we walked away without many answers.

 After Julia's appointment we drove around downtown and did a little sightseeing on the UAB campus. The girls wanted their picture made with Blaze.

 

We ate lunch at Melt and headed over to the Galleria for some shopping and a ride on the carousel. 

 

Tonight we met Meghan and Ed for dinner at Chuck's. The girls love Aunt Megs were definitely excited to see her tonight! 

 

Tomorrow we're going to the McWane Center before we head home and Meghan and Ed are coming with us. I'm not sure who's most excited! 

Sunday Randoms

The girls spent the night in Granddad and GranDi's room last night, but Julia was up in our room early!  Charlotte slept late so we took Julia downstairs to find something to eat. There was a little coffee shop downstairs where we got some hot chocolate and a muffin. Julia thought she was big time drinking her "coffee" in the elevator.   

We all met Blake for lunch at a restaurant in downtown Mountain Brook. Julia loved the blackberries on her waffle.

We also stopped by Whole Foods on our way out of town. Julia loves pushing the little carts.

We got home this afternoon and relaxed a little bit before getting ready for the week. Charlotte found one of the gummy paci's and brought it to me and said "Hampton's pappy"!

We've had a busy, but fun weekend. Tomorrow is back to the grind!

Disney on Ice

We headed to Birmingham today for Disney on Ice! Charlotte was super excited before it started but got a little hesitant when all the characters came out and then she fell fast asleep! Julia loved it and was mesmerized the entire time. We had awesome seats front and center on the first row!

Charlotte loved the cotton candy. No surprise there!

And Julia loved her sno cone!

After the show we walked to the Mexican restaurant across the street and had dinner and watched the rest of the nail biting Auburn game. They came out with a win though! Disney on Ice and an Auburn victory, I would say that's a pretty good Saturday!

Bye Bye, Uncle Blake!

Blake left today to move to Birmingham for law school. I know two little girls that sure are going to miss their Uncle Blake!

Ready for Bed!

Michael and I made a last minute decision to drive to Birmingham tonight and take the girls to the Mcwane Center tomorrow. Since we still had to pack when I got home we got a late start, but made it safely. Now it's time to rest up for some fun tomorrow!
