Open House at Miss Julie's Little Country School

Julia was so excited that it was finally time for open house at her new school. She's been anxiously awaiting "fall" so she could go to her new school.

She found her name at her table all by herself.
Julia & Miss Julie
We had to take the opportunity for a picture with Kissy the Cow.

Julia was so excited to get there, but was a little hesitant once we arrived. Before we left she was running around like she'd been there a hundred times before. I can't believe she starts REAL preschool next week! She's growing up too fast!

Cowgirls

I went back to work today and left Michael to fend for himself. He seemed to survive ok. Mom took the girls to church tonight and I picked them up when it was over. I was ready to see them but Julia cried to spend the night with Nanny and Pop again! She's spent the night with them the past 2 nights!

When we got home they girls went straight for the balls, scooter, bicycle and tricycle. They love to be outside.
Maybe she's going to be a soccer player?
I told Julia to go get in bed and found her in my closet putting on my clothes and shoes. I let her play with them for a few minutes and then told her to take them off and get in bed. She asked me, "Can I dress like a big human again tomorrow?" I can't decide if I should be offended that she thinks of me as a big human or not!
The girls are both asleep in bed. Charlotte went down much easier than she did Monday night, thank goodness! Tomorrow is our first game day at Coppinville which means we get to wear jeans. Thank goodness for the simple pleasures of life; like weekday blue jeans at work! :)

Charlotte's First Day of School!

Charlotte woke up excited about her first day of school today! Sweet girl was ready to go to school as soon as she woke up but I convinced her to take a few bites of blueberry waffle before we went.
She wasn't the most cooperative with pictures today. When I tried to take her picture she ran away or made goofy faces so this was the best I got before school.
We got to school and I let her walk into school. We talked about taking Mrs. Ashlynn & Miss Zoey their gift and how much they would like them. I was really trying to talk it up. :)
She is such a big girl with her backpack and teacher gifts!
Walking into school...
Getting a little skeptical...
"Wait? What? I have to go in here without you?!"

Right after this picture she lost it. She latched onto me like she had just seen the most frightening sight. I got her to go in the room to give Mrs. Ashlynn & Miss Zoey their presents. She threw them at them and ran back to me! I finally got her to put her backpack up and sit down and do a puzzle with me. I snuck out while Miss Zoey had her distracted with the puzzles. I risked it to take this picture, I'm glad she didn't see me because I'm pretty sure Miss Zoey would have strangled me! :)
After I dropped Charlotte off I walked upstairs to tell Tracy happy birthday. Her office was decorated to celebrate her big birthday! Enjoy Rodeo's tonight, wish we could make it!
Mrs. Stacia posted some pictures online of their first day. Charlotte looked happy!
Mrs. Ashlynn posted this one. I'm impressed that she got them to all sit still long enough to get a picture, but I'm not surprised that Charlotte was looking the other way!
Charlotte was so excited to see me when I picked her up. A few other moms walked in before me and she was anxiously watching the door! She ran to show me her picture that she painted.
I tried to get a picture with Mrs. Ashlynn & Miss Zoey but she wasn't having any part of it. They said she did great and didn't even cry. I just knew she would cry when she realized I wasn't there, but I'm so glad she didn't!
She did take a pretty picture with me though!
When we got in the car I asked her if she had fun at school and she nodded yes. I asked her what she did and she said "play hard"! HA

I attempted pictures again when we got home from school. Obviously that was another failed attempt so instead we opted for a nap! (She must have really played hard because she napped from 12:15-3:30!)
Poor baby girl was so tired she was sawing logs!
After a nap and some lunch we had much better success at pictures!
I LOVE this one!
Charlotte's artwork she made at school today.

On our way to take Julia to dance we took a pit stop at church to take Charlotte's first traditional picture by the Small Steps sign.  It just wasn't happening this morning!
The girls made a pit stop  at our house after Tracy's birthday for pajamas and clothes. Julia was happy to see Michael. She has been very concerned about his arm.
The girls were playing and Charlotte took Julia one of her pacis. The girls thought it was hilarious.
The girls have gone home with Nonny to give Michael one more night to get some good rest before the girls are home. I'm hoping that his pain is better tomorrow because I'm ready for the girls to get back. It's quiet around here without them!
