Girls Night

This isn't quite how I remembered girls night. Michael had another game tonight so it was just us girls. After gymnastics we ate dinner at Nana and Pop's and then headed home for baths and bedtime.

Charlotte loves to suck on wet bath cloths. If there's one floating in the bathtub she'll grab it!
Julia was playing with Caddy tonight and said "here Mom, take my picture with my best friend". Poor Caddy needs a hair cut!!

I had hoped to have both girls in bed before Michael got home but, both girls are still awake and Michael is home! It's time for bed!!

A Monday

It was just us girls again tonight. We went to Nana and Pop's for spaghetti after gymnastics which meant bath time tonight! Charlotte always sucks on a wet bath cloth when she can get a hold of one.  Strange girl! :)
Julia has been stuck to Caddy's side tonight. She was sitting with him in the chair and said "Mama, take my picture with Caddy. He's my best friend."
Now I get to face the battle of getting two girls asleep and in bed by myself! It's a task!

Mobile Fun

The girls slept in a little this morning, although not much considering how late they were up! After Jimmy and April got off to the game Mallory and I did a little shopping before she was off to watch the game with some friends.

This afternoon Macy had cheerleading practice and Mallory was at a friends so we headed out to do some exploring. We had a yummy lunch at Dreamland,
Julia holding her breath in the tunnel
We drove over to the battleship and intended to go on it. We got the girls out of the car and then realized tickets were $15 per person. Since we knew we would have to carry them through a lot of it we decided we would wait until they were older. Instead we looked at all the planes and tanks around the battleship.
Julia had to ring the bell!

After the battleship we went on to Bass Pro Shop. Michael looked at everything in the store and the girls liked watching all the fish. :)

This evening we went over to April's parents house to watch the Alabama/Ole Miss game. Julia had the time of her life playing with Macy and all her cousins. She didn't want to leave!

We're back at April and Jimmy's now. Julia, Charlotte, and Macy are all asleep and Michael and I are trying to wait up for Mallory. We'll see if we make it! I think we have some conditioning to do before our girls are teenagers! Ha!

Go Saints!

I had a workshop in Evergreen today and when it was over I drove down to Mobile. Michael and the girls met me when he got off work and we all watched Mallory cheer. I never thought I would be watching her cheer on a Friday night!
 Charlotte was entertained by Macy.
 Our favorite cheerleader!
 Julia loved the pom poms!

We came home after the game and visited with April and Jimmy. Tonight was St. Paul's homecoming so they've gone to get Mallory and Michael and I are going to attempt to get the girls down for the night. They're just a little wound up right now! We'll see if I can stay awake until Mallory gets home! :)

Cupcakes!

What a day it has been! I took this video of Charlotte when I went to get her out of bed this morning. I love how she gets so excited that she kicks her legs and flails her arms!

Charlotte had a doctor's appointment this morning. She's had diarrhea for a week so I decided it was time to take her in. Thankfully she acts just fine. You wouldn't know anything was wrong if your nose didn't work! :)
eating fruit snacks while we waited for Dr. Whitaker
My sweet girl!
So, this is what we got to deal with today! We have to take a stool sample to the hospital to see if we can figure out what's going on. I tried to wait until Michael got home so he could have the pleasure, but he waited too long! :)
This afternoon Mama, Nana, and the girls rode to Dothan. They brought back cupcakes from Sweet & Sassy so after dance girls and I went home and ate ours.
I sent Mama this picture of Charlotte's high chair and told her I thought Charlotte did more damage with this cupcake than she did with her smash cake!
 cupcakes=bath time
When I was trying to cook dinner tonight Charlotte kept coming in the kitchen. I was afraid she was going to burn herself on the oven so I put up the baby gate. She and Julia did not like that one bit! They stood at the gate and cried! Just told me that I terrified her!

Mama came over for dinner tonight. As soon as she walked in the door Julia ran over to her and told her, "Mama locked us up!" HA!

After dinner tonight the girls were playing in the living room. Charlotte grabbed the remote and changed the channel from NCIS to Disney Junior. I guess she didn't like my choice of TV shows!

When it was time for Julia to go to bed tonight she decided that she needed to "watch something". I told her she could watch her eyelids. Once she got in bed and realized what that meant hysterical, tear-producing crying ensued. She kept saying "My eyelids is broken! I need new ones!" These girls are always keeping us laughing!

Sleeping Babies

Michael had a game tonight so it was just me and the girls. I was brave and took them both to Wal-Mart by myself. When I pulled in the carport and looked in the backseat I had two sleeping girls! They stayed asleep long enough for me to put the groceries up and then woke up long enough to eat before they were out for good! Now I'm enjoying the peace and quiet by tackling the never ending pile of ironing!

Pledge of Allegiance

The girls wore these flag outfits to church tonight. I've been trying all summer to get a picture of the girls together in them so I thought I would try again tonight. I still don't have a picture of them together in the outfits. :)
Julia says the Pledge of Allegiance at school and surprised us at dinner the other night by saying it. I thought tonight was the perfect time to record her saying it since she had on her flags!
Tonight, as I was getting Charlotte ready for bed, Julia told me she wanted to sleep with Charlotte. I told her she couldn't get in the bed with her so she got the clothes basket, her pillow, her Mickey, and her Auburn cape as a blanket. She pushed it up against the crib and climbed in. She laid there while I put Charlotte to sleep but as soon as I left the room she was out of there! I'm sure we have many nights ahead of sleepovers!

The Petting Zoo!

Julia had a big day today! She had her first field trip where she got to ride the bus. The three and four year old classes headed out about 8:45 this morning to the Farm-City Week petting zoo at the Coffee County Farm Center. Julia has been SO excited about riding the bus. She rode with one of her best friends, Avery. She and Julia have been in the same class every year until this year. I think they spend every second together that they can when their classes are together.
Ready for their first bus ride!

Henley and Julia were ready to see all the animals!
checking out the turkeys
Julia LOVED the chicks!
"Can I keep him, Mom? PLEASE!"
"Aww. He's so adorable!"
Henley wasn't quite as sure about the baby chicks
Poor little chick. Ha!
She loved watching the bees work in their hive.
learning all about cotton
The girls waiting for Julia's favorite, the horse!
Everyone kept crowding around the horse so this was the best I got.
It took her a little while to get brave enough to get close to the pigs. The pink pig weighed 900 pounds!!
Caroline wasn't too sure about the chicks, but Julia tried to convince her they were ok.
Julia's first school bus ride!

We picked up a pizza for dinner tonight. Charlotte always likes to eat, but she loved her pizza tonight! She talked to us the whole time she ate. She's at such a fun age right now!
