Busy Day!

Julia and I got up this morning and headed back to gymnastics for the second time this week! Since we are going to be out of town next week we went twice this week to make up for it. After gymnastics I was starving, so we set out for an early lunch at Cupcakes Y'all.
This afternoon I had a check up with Dr. Pollard. Julia fell asleep on our way there and was still asleep when I put her back in the car seat after my appointment. Everything looked good with Baby Charlotte. Her heart rate was 158 and I will have another ultrasound at my next appointment in 2 weeks to check her size and position. Dr. Pollard seemed to optomistic that she has turned, so we'll see!

After my doctor's appointment Michael headed back to work and Julia and I headed to Dothan to get my oil changed in preparation for our trip tomorrow! When we got back in town we met Mama, Nana, Pop & Blake for dinner at Rodeo's and then headed home to get packing!

At lunch Julia and I each got a cupcake, but we didn't eat them there. The first thing she asked for when we got home from dinner was her cupcake! So, I did what any mom would do. I stripped her down and gave her her chocolate cupcake!
"Don't even think about touching my cupcake!"

I don't think there is any doubt that Julia enjoyed her cupake! She is now bathed and ready for bed and I'm going to attempt to start packing for our road trip!

More Julia Stories

Today I worked out at Daleville Dental answering phones since the office is closed this week. Mama kept Julia while I worked. On our way to her house there was a uniform truck at the hospital, she said "Look Mommy! A baby school bus, how cute!" HA!

Last week when Julia hit her head she told me that she "hurt her noggin". I've been trying to catch her saying that on video all week, but in true Julia fashion she wouldn't say it when I got the video camera out, but I finally got it tonight!
After her bath, we are usually greeted by "Super Juju". After Julia's bath tonight, Michael put her diaper on and she grabbed her towel and came into our bedroom where I was. She pulled her towel together in the front and said "I'm Jesus!" and proceeded to walk around the house like that! We sing lots of songs about Jesus, but we don't really look at pictures except for the few in her picture Bible. I'm guessing that they have been looking at pictures of Jesus at church!
On a semi related note, she still asks to go to Bible School at least once a week and almost every time that church is mentioned!

Pool Day

We finally busted out the pool that Julia got for her birthday this afternoon. It was SO hot outside that Julia just kind of sat in it and cooled off! I may have even sat down in the nice, cool water for a few minutes!

Tonight was dinner at Mama's but Julia and Michael didn't make it. We got out of the pool and got bathed to go to Mama's and Julia fell asleep on our bed while I was in the shower so she and Micahel stayed at home while I went to dinner and brought Michael some back. She is still asleep now, I just hope she stays that way all night!

Rainbows and Baby Bedding

I took my weekly belly shot this today. I was 32 weeks on Friday. Everyone at church today commented on my "basketball", but I think the dress just accentuates the baby bump!
32 Weeks

This afternoon I went over to Nana & Pop's to work on Charlotte's bedding. The bumper pads are almost finished!

Michael sent me this picture while we were sewing. Julia doctored Nelli's boo boo for her!
Michael cooked some of the fish that he caught last weekend for us tonight. It rained this afternoon so this evening there was a big rainbow in the sky. Julia had to take everyone outside to show it to them.

"Really? The rainbow is still here, why do we have to go inside already?"

Tomorrow is the start to another week, it's hard to believe that summer is almost over!

Daddy/Daughter Day

Michael and Julia had a daddy/daughter day today while Mom, Nana and I worked on the bedding for Charlotte's room. We got  the bumper pads mostly done, the openings just have to be stitched up by hand.

Michael took Julia to Dothan to Chuck E Cheese. Julia loves helicopters, so on thier way they pulled over and watched them land. You can't see it great in the video, but Michael said all the pilots were flying over and waving at her.

Driving with Chuck E Cheese
Nana, Pop, Mom, & Blake came over tonight. Michael cooked some of the fish he caught last week. After dinner I heard water running and found Julia in the bathroom with a cup. The result was a soaked floor and Julia. There's never a dull moment around here!

I hurt my noggin!

When Julia and I got ready to go to gymnastics this morning Jared was here mowing our grass. Julia walked outside and immediately spotted him and started waving. As I was pulling out of the driveway she was yelling "Bye Jared! We go to 'nastics! I'll play with you when we get back!"

While I was putting our bags in the car and cooling the car off before gymnastics Julia decided she wanted some more ceral. She got her bowl and the box of cereal off the counter and poured some more into her bowl. The problem was, when her bowl was full she didn't stop pouring! She poured the entire box out on the floor!

This afternoon we were at Nana and Pop's working on Charlotte's baby bedding. Nana was itting in her chair and Julia was giving her a check up. Thanks to Doc McStuffin's she is very into being a doctor right now. After she checked Nana out she looked at her and said "I have a diagnosis!". She really does pick up on everything!

While we were over there this afternoon Julia got a boo boo. She took some thread off Nana's desk and was brining it to the kitchen. She turned around to see if anybody was coming to get it from her and tripped and hit her head on Nana's desk. She immediately started crying and when I saw the gash I jumped in the car to head to the ER. Mom called Michel who called the pediatrician's office. They said that they couldn't see her because it was on her head and that she would have to see an ENT. I really thought that was just a  cop out since it was about 4:30, but I talked to two other people who said they were told the same thing when their kids hit their heads so I guess that's typical! So, we met Michael at home and called Dr. McQueen and he saw her. He put some dermabond (super glue) on it and sent us home.

When we were leaving Nana and Pop's Julia was crying. By the time we got downtown she had calmed down and she said "Mommy, I have a boo boo". I said "I know, what happened?". Her response? "I hurt my noggin." I thought I was going to lose it! I guess I use the term "noggin" more than I realized!
Reaching for the camera, obviously her noggin doesn't hurt too bad anymroe!
Waiting to see Dr. Mike

All better!
As you can tell, it didn't keep her down for long. She has thoroughly enjoyed telling everyone she has a boo boo and that she hurt her noggin. She may or may not be milking this just a little! :)

We have a stroller!

Someone on our local buy/sell group on Facebook posted last week that they had a double BOB jogging stroller for sale for $75. The catch was, it didn't fold up. We decided to go for it anyway and see if it was something we could fix and if not she said it would fit in the back of her Pathfinder without being folded up so surely it would fit in the back of my 4-Runner. Julia and I were supposed to go pick it up this afternoon, but she was still napping when Michael got off work (Hello 3 hour nap! Thank you thunderstorm!) so Michael went by to get it instead.

When he brought it in after dinner Julia immediately said "Oh! I ride in big stroller!" and climbed in. I'm SO thankful that she loves to ride in her strollers and hope that it continues! Michael told her that since she was the big sister she got to pick her side first. She tested both seats and decided she liked the right side better. Then she wanted Baby Charlotte to get in with her! I told her she would have to wait a few more weeks(!!!) before Baby Charlotte could ride with her.
Trying to figure out how to buckle Baby Charlotte in
Cheese!
The best part about the stroller? It's the one we were going to buy, just the older version, and when Michael got it home and played with it a little bit he got it to fold up! I love a great deal! Now I just have to figure out how to deal with the red, at least it's a true red and not crimson! :)

Getting Charlotte's Room Ready

Julia and I have spent most of today cleaning out Charlotte's room and organizing her clothes. Michael taped off the room to paint this evening and I hope to get started on the bedding this week, so things are finally starting to come together!

Julia spent most of her time either standing in the crib saying "I a baby" or twirling in front of this mirror saying "I a princess"!
Julia wanted to go outside tonight and look at the "baby eggs". I'm pretty sure there aren't any eggs or birds in there anymore, but she likes to go outside and look anyway!

Beach Fun!

Michael got up this morning and went fishing so it was the girls & Troy at the house. Julia slept until 9:00! Once we had eaten breakfast the great beach debate began. It looked like it could rain, but the radar also said it could look like that all day so we decided to go ahead and risk it at the beach and if it started raining then we could just come back to the house.
When we got to the beach the girls wanted a snack so I gave Julia a "pop tart" (cereal bar). She dropped a piece of it so I threw it to the birds. That was quickly followed by her chasing a bird up and down the beach yelling "Come back my bird! Here! Eat your pop tart!" Of course she couldn't go up and down the beach without stopping to talk and I was told yet again that she I had a little politican on my hands!

The girls had so much fun playing on the beach. Carie said that was the most Betsy has ever played in the sand! It was so much easier than having just Julia on the beach because she had Betsy to play with so she didn't spend her time running up and down the beach trying to make friends!

There were 2 kite surfers in front of us. They were neat to watch , they got pretty far out in the water!
When we got back to the beach house (we spent about 2 hours on the beach), Michael was back so we ate lunch and then the girls and their Daddies took naps while Carie and I went to Pier Park. We set out to go to the Carters store for the girls, but came home with nothing for the girls and something for us! I don't know if that's ever happened before!

Tonight we loaded up and headed down to Seaside to eat at Bud and Alley's. After dinner we walked around a little bit and got some ice cream.

The best attempt at a picture of the girls
Everyone has headed off to bed now and I'm hoping for another 9:00 morning tomorrow!
