Such a Happy Baby!

Between cheerleading kiddie camp and ESCC classes this week on top of school I am worn out! I actually snuck away for about 15 minutes on my lunch break to see Julia because I felt like I hadn't seen her all week. Michael wanted to play golf this afternoon so Mom took Julia to church while I went to class.

She was a little fussy when I got to the nursery, but she has been so happy this evening! She has played in her exersaucer, sat in my lap and talked, and of course her favorite, blowing raspberries!

She was up several times last night so I wasn't sure how today was going to be but she's been a happy girl. I love it when she has good days, but really, what's not to love? I mean look at those thighs!!

Julia has also discovered her feet in the past few days. She hasn't quite figured out how to get them in her mouth yet, I think her belly gets in the way! It's so fun watching her discover new things everyday!

Squishy Face!

God love her! I mean really, look at that face!
Here's a close up of it, in all it's squished up glory. Julia has taken to waking up about 5:00 and in an effort to take advantage of my last 45 minutes of sleep I usually bring her to bed with us instead of trying to "fight" her to go back to sleep. The only downside is, it's extremely hard to get out of bed when you have to leave this precious face.
My cheerleaders hosted our first day of kiddie camp after school today. We had a pretty good turn-out with 27 campers participating, but it's going to make for a long week!
I picked Julia up from Nana & Pop's this afternoon and we met Michael at the house to go take Josh & Katie supper and see sweet Baby Joshua.
He was sleeping so peacefully. It made me realize just how much Julia has changed in 4 1/2 short months!

Foobtall & Late Night Shopping!

Today the cheerleaders hosted their first pep rally of the school year. It could have been better but I think it went pretty well and most issues that we had were out of our hands (the main thing was the mic was missing!). Michael didn't have to work today so I came straight home to a clean house and took a power nap before heading back for the ball game.

Daleville beat Slocomb 43-0! As soon as the game was over Carie and I were on our way to Ozark to the Treasured Trunk Consignment Sale! They had a midnight madness sale from 8:00 p.m-midnight! We got the girls some cute stuff, but the company was the fun part!

Exersaucer!

I finally convinced Michael to put together Julia's exersaucer last night. I wasn't sure if she was quite ready for it or not but we tried her in it this evening but she didn't last very long. I think there's so much to play with she doesn't know what to look at and gets frustrated! Ha ha!

Here are a few pictures of her playing in it after dinner tonight.

More Football!

After I got done with school and cheerleading practice today I raced home to change and meet Michael and Julia to head to Brody's football game. Brody plays for Dauphin, where Michael went to school and they were playing Enterprise Jr., where I went to school. While I'm sad that Brody lost it was kind of fun to remind Michael that MY school won. :) Julia had so much fun at the football game that she just couldn't stand it. Can't you tell?

After a trip to Cutt's for dinner we're winding down for the night. Nana said Julia had a great day today so I hope tomorrow is just as good.
On another note, Julia's SIDS monitor went off again last night. I'm hoping we don't get another scare tonight!

A Lazy Labor Day

Ok, so maybe we weren't that lazy but we didn't leave the house today! Julia and I spent the day "straightening" around the house and doing some sewing. I finally made her a taggie. I bought the fabric and ribbons and even had it cut and monogrammed before she was born but hadn't got around to actually putting it together! I pinned it all together this afternoon and sewed it together after Michael got back from Birmingham. I think she likes it!

Welcome to the World Joshua!

Michael got a text message about 6:00 this morning from Josh letting us know that Baby Joshua had arrived! After church this morning Julia and I met Natalie and Harrison for lunch at Santa Fe then Mom, Julia and I headed to Dothan to visit the Pipkin's and Mrs. Liz Cassidy as well as do some shopping.

I got a pattern and fabric to make 2 dresses for Julia. I've already cut one dress out, maybe I'll actually finish these projects! I also did a little fall shopping for myself at TJ Maxx. The "cool" weather this morning made me excited for fall but it was back to 98 degrees this afternoon! I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks to wear my fall clothes!
When we got back from Dothan I put Julia in her swing and turned on Praise Baby while I folded some clothes. Julia was so funny trying to turn around and see what I was doing. She doesn't miss much these days!
Michael is at the NASCAR race in Atlanta with Scott and Cameron and he sent me this picture earlier tonight. Looks like he's going to have an entertaining evening!

Julia's First Game Day!

Julia woke up about 6:45 this morning so I decided to get dressed and take Julia to Wal-Mart and run a few other errands and let Michael sleep in. I put Julia in her first Auburn outfit of the day. :) She has so many to wear and only a limited number of weekends to wear them before football season is over so we have to make sure to get our use out of them!

Her onesie says "Mommy knows best! Auburn University"

When we got back from running errands I got Julia dressed in her game attire and we headed over to Mrs. Jane's house for a playdate with Lucy and Heather. We had fun "playing" and catching up while Britt and Michael watched football.
War Eagle!
The girls laughing at their silly daddy's.
Soon it was time to head to Brock and Amy's to watch the Auburn game. We watched the first half with them before heading over to Aunt Donna and Kenneth's to catch the end of it.
Julia, Lawson and Gale watching the game
We finally got home about 10:00. Julia is in bed and I'm not far behind her! Have a good Sunday!

4 Months Old!

Julia, I can't believe you're already 4 months old! I know I say every month "I can't believe your X months old" but I really can't. Time is passing so quickly! You had your 4 month check-up today and had another set of shots. You weighed 15 pounds 15.5 ounces and were 25 1/4 inches long putting you in the 90th percentile for weight and 70th percentile for height. You nurse in the morning and before bed and take a 4 ounce bottle around 8:00 a.m. and 6 ounce bottles around 10:00, 1:00, 4:00, and 7:00. You take about a 2 hour nap in the morning between 8:00 and 10:00 and another nap in the afternoon. Your bedtime is between 8:30 and 9:00 and you usually sleep until we wake you up about 6:30!

You love to "talk", blow raspberries, and have started to laugh out loud! You think it's hilarious when someone sneezes! We used your last size 1 diaper last night and you are officially in size 2 diapers today. You have really started to reach and grab for things and you love to sit up and watch what is going on. You still can't sit up on your own but I don't think it will be much longer. You have good control of your head/neck and love to use your neck to look all around. You're never still!

You still have your clogged tear duct and Dr. Whitaker is going to refer you to an opthamologist if it hasn't cleared up by your 6 month check up, but fingers crossed it will.

Just for fun here's your 3 month picture next to your 4 month picture. Happy birthday sweet girl! We love you!

No School Tomorrow!

Do you see this precious face? I get to spend the next 34 1/2 hours with her. That's right, no school for me tomorrow! Julia has her 4 month check-up tomorrow so I took the day off.
Today was jam packed. I had school, cheerleading practice, and ESCC class tonight. We rented The Back-Up Plan Sunday night and hadn't watched it yet so we picked up a pizza this evening and snuggled in to watch it. It was pretty cute, Julia & I liked it. :)
Watching the movie

Julia is tucked in tightly in her bed and I'm not far behind her. I'm crossing my fingers for a late sleeper in the morning!
