No holiday for us!

Michael and I both had to work today so instead of celebrating President's Day with a day off Julia went to Nana and Pop's as usual. Nana said she was more "low key" today, but she sure did make up for it when she got home! She was into everything! She and Michael sat on the floor in the office while I was working on some sewing projects and she figured out how to "throw" the toys for Nelli and Caddy. It was so funny! She would try so hard, but she couldn't throw them very far!

She had some minor meltdowns tonight and didn't seem to enjoy her bath very much, but after a quick iPad fix she went sound asleep with virtually no fussing! She was one tired little girl!

Fashion Trend: Sideways Paci's!

Julia has been pretty good about putting her paci in by herself for a couple months now, but she still cracks me up when she puts it in sideways. The nipple is the same shape all the way around so I guess it doesn't bother her that it's sideways, but it looks so funny!

After church and Garrett's birthday lunch at Aunt Donna's Julia spent the afternoon with Mama while Michael and I did some straightening up and cleaning out around the house and I worked on few sewing projects. We finished the weekend off with dinner at Mellow Mushroom with Tyler and Charity. I'm so thankful that we have so much family around to help out with Julia and good friends to hang out with!

We're going to the zoo zoo zoo!

Julia woke us up bright and early this morning, 6:17 to be exact. I think the days of putting her in bed with us for an extra hour or so of sleep are over. She is ready to play when she wakes up now! Michael let me sleep in a little bit, but when I got up about 8:00 we decided to head to Montgomery for the day. We originally planned to try to find a console table to go under the TV when Michael and Eleson get it mounted tomorrow, but we quickly decided that with temperatures in the 70's it was way too pretty to be inside so we packed up and head to the zoo! We all had a great time!
Julia watching the wolves.                    Somebody enjoyed their spaghetti lunch!
Julia and me with her Sophie Giraffe in front of the giraffes.
In front of the giraffes again, this time without Sophie.
Michael and Julia in front of the rhino

She thought the rhino was so funny and "talked" away to him!
Julia couldn't see over the fences at the exhibits so Michael gave her a better view.
She liked riding on his shoulders like a big girl!
Julia and me checking out the deer. The deer were a close second to the rhino for Julia's favorite.

Trying to get to the deer!
Michael and Julia watching the monkeys.
My little monkey!
A fun day at the zoo!

Finally Friday!

Michael, Julia and I ended our week with dinner at Frogs in New Brockton. It wasn't exactly what I expected but it was good! Julia had so much fun she fell asleep on the car ride home, but that didn't keep her from playing hard when we got home!

Walking Wednesday

Today was pretty uneventful. Michael and I both went to work and Nana came to our house to watch Julia again. Because the weather was so pretty outside today and because I still don't have my car back Julia and I walked to Martin-Colley this afternoon to pick up a prescription for me. My prescription wasn't ready yet so our walk turned in to a walk to church and then to Annie's to meet Michael for dinner.

Julia is doing better with her breathing treatments. We had to give her one about 1:00 this morning and she was calm for the entire thing. She was pretty calm for her treatment this morning before I went to work also. She did ok with the one tonight for the first few minutes and then she was over it, but she didn't fight it has bad as she was fighting them yesterday!

We decided that Julia was feeling well enough to try to get her back on a sleeping schedule tonight so we attempted to put her to sleep in her bed about 7:30 and she was sound asleep in about 30 minutes! I sure hope we're on track to being back on a sleep schedule, Mommy and Daddy are tired!

Julia's favorite new "trick" is to pull down her lips with her fingers to make noise, I caught her in action above. Also, tonight when I went to check on her before bed she had thrown both her pacis out of the bed and was hanging on to one of the spindles! Poor baby girl, what a tough life!

Feeling Better

Julia seems to be feeling better today. Dr. Whitaker said she would probably feel worse before she felt better, but so far that hasn't been true for Julia! She still hates her breathing treatments, but they do seem to be making a difference.

Nana came to our house to stay so that we didn't have to get Julia out. While she was here she did most of our laundry, which was a lot! I'm so thankful to have clean clothes!

We grabbed a quick dinner at Larry's tonight since our pantry is bare! Julia felt well enough when we got home to give herself a bottle and try to take my laptop away from me. She has her own laptop but apparently it's not as fun as Mommy's! I'm glad she's feeling better but I'll be even happier when she's 100% again!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, Julia! Daddy took the day off to take the Volkswagon to Montgomery to be fixed and then we both took you to the doctor this afternoon. I was hopeful that you just had a nasty cold, but Dr. Whitaker took one listen at your chest and said you had RSV and bronchialitis. We were sent home with a steriod prescription and breathing treatments every 4-6 hours, except at night. Thank goodness we don't have to wake you up - I HATE waking up a sleeping baby!

Daddy took you home while I got your prescriptions filled and then MomAnnette brought us Beef O'Brady's for dinner. It's not the yummy Valentine's Day dinner we had planned, but it was still good!

We can tell just by looking at you that you feel so bad. You don't like your breathing treatments, but I hope you will learn to tolerate them soon, hopefully we won't have to give them to you long!

Daddy and I both bought you Valentine's day presents. I got you some books and Daddy got you some bath toys. You are such a lucky little girl! You are our special Valentine and we both love you so much!

Under the Weather

Julia woke up with a snotty, runny nose again this morning so we decided not to go to church again this morning. We did watch Praise Baby this morning as a sort of "substitute" for not going. Julia looked so grown sitting in her chair! Then she laid back, relaxed and drank her bottle. Isn't she just too cute?
By this afternoon Julia was looking pretty pitiful and running a fever of about 101.8. She has not slept well since Thursday night and has been sleeping with us since Friday night. She will not let us put her down to sleep, which has made for some long nights lately.

This evening she snuggled up with her daddy on the couch to watch some TV, but she just couldn't keep her eyes open. Bless her little heart! I'm going to call Dr. Whitaker's office in the morning and try to get her an appointment, but I really hope this is just a cold!

Julia has been feeling under the weather today. She has a snotty nose and congestion in her chest, it just seems like she can't get rid of it! I am praying she will feel better tomorrow. If not, it looks like another trip to Dr. Whitaker is in our near future! Even though she doesn't feel good, she is still such a sweet and happy baby! Thank you Lord for such a sweet little girl!

Dinner with the Mathews

We went out to dinner at Myori's tonight with the Mathews. Julia and Gale sat next to each other and drank their bottles together. I told Michael that Julia looked funny wearing an Auburn outfit and sitting in a Nebraska high chair cover! :)
After dinner they came over to our house to visit for a little while. The girls pulled all of Julia's toys out of her basket while they were playing and had the most fun playing with the top to a bottle!
Gale has started walking since we saw them last, she was so cute toddling around! I can't believe she is already walking and I know Julia won't be too far behind her! They're growing up too fast!
