6 Month Check Up

Rosemary had her 6 month check up today. She weighed 14 lb 9 oz and was in the 20th percentile. We had to wait for her to finish her 8 ounce bottle to weigh her though so I'm guessing she's really more around 14 lbs 1 oz.

She got a good report from Dr. Whitaker and got her next set of shots. Her eye is still matting up, but since it does seem to be improving we're going to watch until her 9 month appointment before he refers her. She also left with a prescription for an antibiotic for a double ear infection! I felt so bad that I didn't know she felt bad!
I got to take Charlotte to dance today, and they got costumes! She loved how sparkly it is!
Julia got her hip hop costume tonight. She is loving this class even more than I thought she would!
I'm so excited that both my girls are loving dance again!

4 Month Check Up

Rosemary had her 4 month check up this morning.  She was a happy girl and right on track. She weighed 12lb 14 oz (30%) and was 23 3/4" (40%) long. She was a little fussy this afternoon and had a slight fever from her vaccines, but she was still happy. Next check up is at 6 months!

Donuts with Daddy

Charlotte had Donuts with Dad at her school today. She has been so excited about Daddy going to school with her all week.

I can't believe how big this pretty girl is getting!
 Sweet friends!
I got a phone call from the school nurse this morning that Julia had another headache so I called her pediatrician. He got us right in and saw Julia today. She wanted to wear her groundhog hat in to the office and I obliged since she looked so cute in it!

A Doctor Visit, Birthday Presents, and Soccer

I had to take Charlotte to the doctor this morning. She still hasn't gotten better and was complaining that her mouth and teeth hurt. We left with a diagnosis of a viral mouth infection, similar to hand, foot, and mouth. Luckily Julia's "fever" seems to have just been a fluke and she begged to go to school today so Mom took her just before lunch when she had been fever free for 24 hours.

This afternoon Charlotte had a birthday box from Big Bill and Annie. She loved all the princess stuff!
Julia had her first soccer practice tonight. She was SO excited and did pretty good for her first practice. I can't wait to see her improve and have fun this season!
Giving me a thumbs up!

Sick Girl

Julia stayed home from school today with a fever. I took her to the doctor this morning and left with a diagnosis of strep throat! I sure hope she feels better soon!

Birmingham

We got up this morning and headed downtown to Children's for Julia's appointment with the pediatric pulmonologist. Fortunately they were able to rule out seizures, apnea or any other major health problems as the cause for all of Julia's sleep walking. Unfortunately we walked away without many answers.
After Julia's appointment we drove around downtown and did a little sightseeing on the UAB campus. The girls wanted their picture made with Blaze.
We ate lunch at Melt and headed over to the Galleria for some shopping and a ride on the carousel.
Tonight we met Meghan and Ed for dinner at Chuck's. The girls love Aunt Megs were definitely excited to see her tonight!
Tomorrow we're going to the McWane Center before we head home and Meghan and Ed are coming with us. I'm not sure who's most excited!

Memorial Day Weekend = Sick Girls

Charlotte woke up this morning coughing and wheezing. After yesterdays fever I decided to take her into the doctor just to be sure she was ok before we headed to the beach.

Of course I waited until after lunch so Dr. Whitaker's office was closed which meant I had to take her to the walk in clinic. Fortunately we had a great experience there. We did a breathing treatment in the office and then went over to the hospital for a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia. She wasn't a fan of the breathing treatment or the chest x-ray but the second she saw me get my phone out and turn the camera part on she stuck that bottom lip out!

Luckily her lungs were clear but she does have a lot of wheezing and congestion so our beach trip is on hold for now. The NP gave her a prescription for a steroid, antibiotic and we are supposed to give her an antihistamine and do breathing treatments as needed also.  I'm hoping that will be enough to kick this and maybe we can head to the beach tomorrow.

I hate to have my girls sick, especially when we have something fun planned, but I'm just thankful that it's not the stomach virus this year!
