Julia's Choir Program

Julia had her first choir program at church tonight. I tried to get a cute picture of her before we left, but she wasn't in the mood. Sissy let me take some of her though while we waited to go to church.
My sweet girl
Julia did good in her program tonight. She kept fidgeting and playing with her hair, I think she was a little overwhelmed with all the people. The sanctuary was packed! At one point she was looking at me and I mouthed for her to quit playing with her hair, you can see her mouth something back at me. I guess 3 year olds can't read lips yet! :)
She was so proud of herself for singing in big church and so was I. :)

Frozen

We got up this morning and headed to Dothan to work on some Christmas shopping. We actually had planned on going to Destin, but it was raining and since all the shopping there is outdoors we decided to go to Dothan.

Our last store was Target and I was starving! I decided to get a hot dog at their food counter up front. While I was waiting for my hot dog I caught a wiff of the fresh popped popcorn. It made me want to go to the movies which is a rare occurrence so Michael jumped at the opportunity. We checked to see what movies were playing and the show times and headed over to see Disney's Frozen.

When we got there the theater was so packed that we had to sit on the second row! We got a big bucket of popcorn, a booster seat for Julia and settled in for Julia's second movie theater experience and Charlotte's first.

Charlotte was all smiles through the previews. And then the movie started. And she squirmed, and fussed, and screamed. Michael finally got up and walked out with her. He took her to the lobby to see if he could get her to sleep since she hadn't had much of a nap today. When that didn't work he put her in the car for a spin around the parking lot to see if that would help. When that didn't work they walked around Gander Mountain until the movie was over. So, I think it will be a little while before we take Charlotte back to the movies. :)

The good news is Julia and I enjoyed the movie! It was definitely one of my favorite recent Disney movies and Julia was glued to it the whole time.

The movie started at 4:45 and neither girl napped today so they both fell asleep by the time we hit Wicksburg. That was about 7:30 and they're both still asleep so I'm hoping that means they're out for the night!

The Flu

Charlotte woke up this morning with a runny nose and a fever.  I went on to school this morning and took the afternoon off to take her to the doctor. She weighed 29 pounds and was 30.8" long. Unfortunately we left with a diagnosis of the flu.

We've picked up TamiFlu and have quarantined Julia to Nonny's house. I have my fingers crossed that no one else gets it!

Make Up

My make up drawer is Charlotte's favorite place to play. It is impossible for me to get dressed without her trying to steal all my make up. I walked in the bathroom this afternoon to this scene, a totally normal scene at our house! This girl loves her mama's make up!

Winner's High

I woke up this morning and had to ask Michael if this was real life, but it appears to be. I guess it wasn't all a dream after all!

The girls elves, Tinsel and Jingle, arrived today from the North Pole. They arrived a little later than usual though, it seems like they took a detour in Auburn yesterday.  As soon as Julia walked into the living room she spotted them, her reaction was priceless.
I worked in the "nursery" today during second service. These kids definitely not babies anymore!
Frankie's shoe came untied and Julia was determined to tie it again.
There was lots of orange and blue at church today!
We went over to Jay and Dianne's for dinner tonight. We had plans to put the tree up after we got back but I was just too tired! Maybe tomorrow!

When it was time for bed tonight Julia insisted on matching Minnie Mouse. She got her Minnie Mouse skirt for herself and put the matching bloomers on Minnie. Once they were both dressed she asked me to take their picture in front of the Christmas tree!
The girls are both nestled in bed and I'm ready for school tomorrow. I only have  14 1/2 days left! Woo hoo!
