Fish River

Kelly, Julia, Charlotte, Collin and I left after school today to meet Wes, Michael, Rosemary and Wesley Kate at Fish River. We didn't get here until almost bedtime tonight but we are ready to hit the water tomorrow!

The boys and babies stopped at Cracker Barrell for lunch. Rosemary put away some green beans!

Swimming Lessons - Day 1

The girls started swimming lessons today. One was excited, one wasn't. I bet you can't guess which is which. I'll give you a hint. The one that wasn't excited woke up at 4:30 today and was ready for a nap by swimming lessons at 10:00!

The good news is they were both all smiles after swimming lessons!

The Deer Slayer!

Julia and Michael got invited to go deer hunting with a friend today and I'm not sure who was more excited. Julia practically jumped up and down with excitement when Michael asked her if she wanted to go!

 

Michael sent me this text this afternoon. That looks like some pretty cushy deer hunting! 

 

He texted me this afternoon and said that Julia shot a deer. I certainly didn't expect her to shoot one and I wasn't really sure how she would handle it, but she was so excited.

She had just a little bit of blood left on her face when she got home (the red around her mouth is ketchup - I should have wiped her face off first!)

Summer Fun

This morning the girls and I went to Country Best Farm to pick some sunflowers and take advantage of the photo opportunity.

After the sunflower field we went to Milky Moo's for lunch and ice cream on this hot day! 

 

Our last stop for the day was All About Art to paint some pottery. I'm sure no one is surprised that Julia chose a horse and Charlotte chose a turtle! 

We had a fun day soaking up summer!

Busy Day!

We've had gorgeous weather and a busy day today! 

Ms. Zoey posted these pictures of Charlotte at school today. I love that she has so much fun at school. She is going to be SO sad when Ms. Zoey moves this summer.

After I got both the girls this afternoon we went to the gym. The girls insisted on wearing their workout clothes too!

After the gym we ate dinner and walked over to the ball fields. Julia has been asking to go watch Tucker. Of course he was playing at the field furthest from us! The upside was that we got to watch some more of Julia's friends that we happened upon!

It was a gorgeous afternoon that made me SO ready for summer! Only a few more weeks of school left!

Quail Hunts, Daddy Dates, and Pageants

Michael and I spent the day quail hunting with Rachel and Cary. I will admit I had more fun than I anticipated even though we didn't kill very many quail. Rachel and I definitely got our steps in today!

 

The girls stayed with mom while Michael and I were hunting. She took Julia to Ada's birthday party. It was a Ninja Turtle party at Chill. 

 Tonight Michael took Charlotte on a date to Rodeo's while  Julia and I went to Kinston to watch Emory give up her title as Future Little Miss Kinston. Julia was extremely disappointed that Kinston didn't have any restaurants. She couldn't believe it!

Pageant friends!

Julia and I had planned on going to dinner after the pageant but after her rant about there being no restaurants in Kinston she fell asleep about 5 minutes from Enterprise so I settled from drive-thru Chick-Fil-A. It's been a busy, but fun Saturday. We're ready for the Super Bowl tomorrow!
