Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We took the girls trick-or-treating tonight, that was an adventure! I took Julia out to school this afternoon and one of the girls in the cosmetology department braided her hair so she would look like a real cowgirl. She thought she was so big! When we left the band was outside practicing and she just stopped in her tracks to watch them and then started dancing!

Julia took a late nap this afternoon so we had to wake her up to go trick-or-treating which meant she was not in the best of moods to start with. Once she realized she was getting candy she perked up a little bit!

Once Julia got out of her mood she had a blast. I told Michael that next year I want to trick-or-treat our family the day before so that we can go actual trick-or-treating on Halloween. 2 hours seems like a long time, but it just wasn't enough time! Michael doesn't get home from work until about 5:15 and by the time we got everything together and in the car it was already 5:30 and trick-or-treating was over a 7:00.

When we went to Mimi and Papa Thad's we let Julia trick-or-treat in their neighborhood. Tartan Pines goes all out and there were lots of decorations and candy. Several of the houses had people sitting outside instead of ringing the doorbell, most of them in costume with lots of decorations. One house had a girl passing out candy with a fox mask on. When we walked up I was thought Julia might be a little scared. She was a little hesitatnt, but she said "Mama, it's a fox!" When we were walking away down the sidewalk she yelled "Bye fox! Thanks for the candy! Had a good time!"

When we went to Mr. Speed and Mrs. Tula's they gave her some coins for her piggy bank. When we got to Mimi and Papa Thad's Julia looked at Papa Thad and said "You got any money?" I could have died! But of course, he found some money for her!

Charlotte was the cutest pumpkin out there tonight without a doubt. She was so good and easy going while we drug her all over.

I know next year will be even more fun for all of us!

Jack-O-Lantern! Video

Julia loves to play with play doh, but we only get it out when she's going to be closely supervised. I told her we could play with it after her nap today and she had a ball. She forms it into shapes and tells me what it is and plays with it.

Her no face

Doesn't she look so pitiful?

We didn't get a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch last week so we went to the FUMC pumpkin patch tonight and got one to carve. Julia was so excited about a pumpkin and a jack-o-lantern!

After the pumpkin patch we went to Rodeo's for dinner and home to carve our pumpkin. Julia thought it was the best thing ever. She was SO excited!

Bathing Beauties

Charlotte started the week off with lots of spit up which resulted in morning baths for both the girls. Fortuntaley Charlotte is loving her bath so that makes it so much easier. Julia would stay in there for hours and play if I would let her.

Here's a little video of our bathing beauties playing in the bath tub. You can see Charlotte's infamous lip quiver at about the 1 minute mark. I finally caught it on video!

Fall Festival

We had our Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat at church tonight. Julia had a blast and Charlotte was a champ, hanging out in her stroller most of the night.

They had to move the games inside because it turned cold today. Julia didn't play very many because the hallways were so crowded it was hard to get down there. She went fishing in the fish pond and then got upset because she wanted to keep the fishing pole!

Julia getting her prize from the fish pond. Can you tell by the look on her face that she was disappointed about giving back the fishing pole?

I told Ben I could put an AU logo over that gig 'em sign!

When we got home we put Charlotte in her bouncy seat while we ate dinner. She's starting to really enjoy kicking in it and looking around. I can't believe how big she's getting!
