Downtown Fun

Today was the Christmas Open House in downtown Enterprise. All the stores had activities for the kids and refreshments. Shoppes on Main had Elsa and a build-a-snowman activity.

Charlotte watching Julia build her snowman, Charlotte took hers to go. :)

All About Art had ornament painting set up on the sidewalk outside. The girls both chose a gingerbread man to paint.
Julia was so excited to have her picture made "just like I'm holding up Billy the Boll Weevil", of course Charlotte had to have hers made too.

Shopaholic had a station set up outside to write a letter to Santa. Charlotte was very into writing her letter, but I don't have a clue what she told Santa she wanted! Julia's list consisted of "a real live horse, a saddle, stir ups, and all kinds of other horse accessories".
Of course the highlight of the day for Julia was the Clydesdale. We waited almost an hour to take a ride around the block, but it was worth it.

We had a fun morning downtown and spent the afternoon getting the house ready to put up the Christmas tree later this week! I'm trying to respect the turkey, but I don't think we're going to make it to Thursday!

Indians & Turkeys

Julia had her first Thanksgiving program today at Miss Julie's. It was precious. She was precious. Everything was precious. She did such a good job, I was one proud mama!
Charlotte was there too, but she wasn't too interested in taking a picture. Julia kept taking her headband off and saying "Look Cha Cha, it's just me, Julia".

Practicing her bow and arrow skills like any good Indian

We got out of school this afternoon for a whole week! Woo hoo!  The girls and I celebrated with some outside playtime while we waited on Daddy to get home. Their favorite part was the wagon ride. I hope this beautiful weather sticks around and we get lots of outside playtime in this week!

Turkeys & Horses

Charlotte had her Thanksgiving party at school today. They were all so cute in their turkey hats. Mrs. Zoey told me that she was insistent that she cut her turkey legs, hence the two different length legs.
Daddy even got to come for a few minutes
I should have gotten a picture with her before the food was put in front of her!
Silly girl!
Charlotte and Ms. Zoey.
Charlotte loves Ms. Zoey, they spend every Sunday, Tuesday, & Thursday mornings and Wednesday evenings together. We said at the beginning of the year they would either love each other or be sick of each other and I know that Charlotte loves Ms. Zoey!

This afternoon was Julia's favorite day of the week, horseback riding lesson day.

Learning how to post, she looks so professoinal ;)

When Julia first started taking riding lessons in September Charlotte wasn't too fond of the horses. She didn't want to get too close and most certainly wouldn't pet them. Now, she has decided that she loves the horses almost as much as her sister, especially Lilly!

Julia's Thanksgiving Day program and one more day of work are all that stand between us and a week off! I. Can't. Wait.

Cops & Puppies

The girls were playing "cop and doggy" this evening. Can you guess who is the cop and who is the doggy?
