Watermelons & More Birthdays!

We woke up this morning and headed downtown to the Watermelon Festival. Unfortunately most of the activities were already over when we got there, but Julia got to play in the bounce house for a little bit and sample some watermelon so she was happy!

When we left downtown and got home my anniverary present was waiting on the front porch. Michael totally surprised me this year, but he did a great job! In a few more months we'll be adding another baby girl to the other side! When Michael was hanging the canvas's Julia went and got her toy hammer and climbed up on the bed to help Daddy.
This afternoon we headed to Dothan for Sarah's birthday party. They had some pools set up in the backyard and had fun splashing and playing in the water. It was hot enough that I debated getting in and laying in the water!

Happy 6th Birthday Sarah!

Julia napped on the way to Dothan, but that was her only nap today so she was worn out at the end of the day. When we got home she laid down in her bed and went to sleep all by herself! She was already in a zombie state, but I'll take it! Maybe now she'll realize she doesn't need us in there for her to fall asleep!

Surpise!

We threw Michael a surprise birthday party tonight! Unfortunately he and Brock got done at the shooting range a little early so he kinda "ruined" the surprise, but I think he was still surprised. Thanks to all our friends and family who helped out and who came to celebrate with us!

The girls (and Grayson) had fun playing in the backyard. They rode the tractor, played on the slide, blew bubbles and drew with sidewalk chalk. I think the tractor was the favorite though!

A big thanks to Ben & Tyler for coming early and grilling for me!

Julia & Betsy enjoying a sno cone!
After most everyone was gone Carie & I realized that Betsy & Julia were awfully quiet. We found them at the cake table eating the candles! Julia had the 0 and Besty had the 3! Those girls are quite a pair. We gave them a bath before Betsy went home and the bath water was brown when they got out because they were so dirty!
Hope you had a great time tonight, Michael! Happy Birthday!

Future Olympic Gymnast!

Today was Julia's second week back at Baby Gym. I definitely think she enjoyed it more this week than last week. Her favorite thing is the trampoline, but the beam was a close second. Maybe you'll see her in the Olympics one day. :)

I love how she holds her hands when she walks on the beam!
We met Michael for lunch and then came home. I was cleaning out our DVD's and had a copy of our wedding DVD on the floor. She saw it and said "I watch Mommy Daddy DivaD" so I turned it on for her. She sat in her chair in awe and watched our entire wedding. She kept asking "Where Juju?".  I told her she was just a day early, our anniversary isn't until tomorrow!

The Zoo!

This morning we woke up and checked out of our hotel. Julia took one last ride on the luggage cart!
We left the hotel and went to PetCo to look at the "Nemo Fish"

After we went to see the Nemo Fish we met up with Rusty, Gina and Cohen at the Birmingham Zoo. Julia was a sleep when we got there, but woke up not long after we got there. She and Cohen had a blast seeing all the animals.
Checking out the kangaroos
Sweet Miss Cohen just started walking!
Looking at the gorillas
Julia thought the bobcat was a friendly kitty cat, but I think the bobcat thought Julia was dinner! They watched each other pacing back and forth several times.
The Pickerings in front of the giraffes
Julia helping Cohen walk to the tigers

We couldn't leave without riding the merry-go-round. Julia checked out all the animals before she decided on the tiger. It was Cohen's first ride on the merry-go-round and I don't think she loved it, maybe when she's a little older!
Hey Daddy!
After we left the zoo we made a stop at Yogurt Mountain for some frozen yogurt and then headed home. We got home about 30 mintues ago and I'm hoping Julia will be in bed soon. She had a rough night last night (she was up every 1-2 hours) so I'm hoping for some better sleep tonight!
