Happy Father's Day!

The girls woke up Michael with breakfast in bed and his Father's Day present.  When you live in a house full of girls you get your Father's Day present wrapped in camo wrapping paper with glitter tape! He got just what he wanted, a sausage maker attachment for the KitchenAid.

Today was also the first Sunday that we've been to church since promotion Sunday. Julia moved upstairs to the children's floor and Charlotte stayed right where she was since she was in the group ahead of her school group.
Charlotte took this card to church with her to remind her to tell her teachers to pray for baby Sarah Belle.
Julia has been wanting to make a Julia Child recipe since Miss Julia nicknamed her Julia Child. She had kind of forgotten about it until we saw Julia Child's kitchen at the Smithsonian last week. She has been asking again so today Julia, Charlotte, and I made an Apple Charlotte for Father's Day dessert. It was actually easier than I expected, it just had a lot of steps! The girls had  great time though and it was really good.
This afternoon Granddad, GranDi, Shannon and Sarah came over for a Father's Day cookout. We blew up the water slide and the girls played in it. Sarah didn't have a swimsuit so she borrowed one of mine. When did that happen?! Shouldn't she still be wearing little smocked swimsuits?!

Happy Father's Day!

We got up bright and early this morning and headed back from the beach. We came home, ate lunch, and packed Michael back up so he could head to Pell City for the week.
This evening the girls and I went to Dothan to celebrate Father's Day with Granddad. I didn't take any pictures!

I'm hoping for a quiet, low key week without Michael around, but that never seems to happen when he's gone!

Happy Father's Day!

We have spent today celebrating a special daddy! Charlotte's eye was still a little questionable so we didn't go to church this morning but we did go to lunch. Michael's choice was Cheeburger Cheeburger. OK, his choice was actually Captain D's but he settled for Cheeburger Cheeburger.

We stayed around the house most of the afternoon. Michael and the girls watched golf and the college dance finals on ESPN! I guess that's what you get for being the daddy of 2 girls!

This evening we went to see Pop and Uncle Tom and wish them a happy Father's Day. Granddad and GranDi came over for a dinner of shrimp and grits. We ended our Father's Day obligations by calling my dad.

The girls and I made a video of Julia answering some questions about Michael for part of his Father's Day present. It took a few tries to get Julia to answer all the questions and Charlotte refused to say "dada", but I think it turned out cute.

We are ending our day with Charlotte in bed and Julia laying in her sleeping bag watching Miss USA with us.
Happy Father's Day, Michael! We love you!
