Trick-or-Treat!

Happy Halloween! Julia and I got up and dressed her before we went to Nana and Pop's this morning. Of course as soon as the door opened she headed straight for her water table.
       Showing me her nose
This evening we got Julia in her costume and were off to trick-or-treat!
Ready to go trick-or-treating!
We went to Mimi & Papa Thad's first. Their neighbor thought Julia's costume was "awesome". Then we made a stop at Aunt Robin and Uncle Tom's.

Then we walked up to Nana and Pop's and then to Mr. Speed and Mrs. Tula's.
Checking out her toy from Nana and Pop
Our next stop was MomAnnette and Uncle Blake's. Uncle Blake even put on his dog costume so we could get a picture of both dogs together. That may be my favorite picture ever. It's definitely my favorite picture of the two of them together.
Our last two stops were Aunt Donna and Uncle Kenny's and Granddad and GranDi's. Julia liked the treats from Aunt Donna and took them one by one and put them in her bag and then told Aunt Donna "thank you". Granddad and GranDi had lots of yummy candy for Julia! Julia took one piece of candy at a time and placed them in her bag. She looked in her bag to put a piece of candy in and said "Oh!" and pulled out her paci I had stashed in there for emergencies!
Happy Halloween!
Julia's car seat was a tight fit with her costume on tonight!

Julia was a little grumpy this afternoon, but she was a trooper through all of our trick-or-treating stops. She was a worn out little girl when we got home though! I think it was a successful second Halloween!
Trying not to fall asleep on the living room floor!

Halloween Party!

Today was Julia's FIRST school party so I took the day off to go with her. Michael also took an hour of to come party with the one-year-olds. It was a "Fall Harvest" party and they were supposed to dress up in their non-scary costumes. Since the puppy dog costume is a little much to wear all day she opted for an Auburn cheerleader.

This afternoon has been spent playing in the house and getting things ready to bake 500 cookies for Cookies with Characters on Saturday! I'm so thankful to be able to enjoy this day off with my sweet baby girl!

Play Hard, Sleep Hard!

Today was picture day at school for Julia and I got to take her to school this morning. She wore this outfit that Mom made her.
She has been wide open this afternoon playing with every toy in the house and chasing the dogs everywhere! She has played hard this afternoon and now she is sleeping hard!
Ready for bed!

Coloring Queen

Julia mastered her coloring skills this afternoon. She started out on the hardwood floor, but thankfully it wiped up easily and she moved on to her Mickey Mouse coloring book.

Bootiful Baby!

We got up in time to go to early service again this morning. It's so nice to get out of church at 10:30 instead of 11:30, especially when we're up in time to go to early service anyway. We met Mom and Blake for lunch at Beef O'Bradys. Julia was once again persistant in her desire to dip every piece of food she had into some type of sauce. I finally caved and let her have the lid from my ranch dressing to dip in. It didn't take very long for her to forgo the food and just lick the ranch dressing off the top!
This afternoon Julia has been in a silly mood! We have had fun playing her with. She fell down and Michael walked over to check on her and "shocked" (tickled) her back to life. She thought it was the funniest thing ever and spent the rest of the afternoon laying on her back and saying "uh oh" trying to get one of us to do it to her again!

I was on the computer and looked up to see Julia saying "yum" and licking her fingers. She found a Reese cup on the table and had opened it as best she could and was eating it. Of course she had to go outside and show her daddy.
I promise I didn't let her eat the wrapped!

This evening I was in the extra room working on some sewing and while I had my back turned for 1/2 a second Julia got ahold of our wedding album and started tearing the pictures out trying to get a picture of Michael & I. Michael got onto her and you could tell she knew she had done something wrong. She hung her little head and her shoulders were slouched. He told her to tell me sorry and she finally looked up long enough to say something that resembled sorry and gave me a hug. She looked so pitiful standing there! I never know how she's going to react when we try to discipline her, sometimes she acts like we have just broken her heart into a million pieces and will cry like there's no tomorrow. Other times she'll laugh right in my face! It's like a hat trick - you never know which Julia you will get!

Fall Festival & Baking!

We got up this morning and walked downtown for the Fall Festival. It was chilly outside so we bundled Julia up in her stroller!
We passed out balloons at the FBCE Booth for the Hallelujah Carnival next Sunday evening. We passed out a LOT of balloons!
After the Fall Festival we went to Firehouse for lunch. Julia thought her fire hat was funny!
We had a lazy rest of the afternoon at home. I decided I wanted some chocolate chip cookies so Julia and I made some! She loved it! I think her favorite part was measuring the sugar and flour out because she got to "dig" in the canisters with the measuring cups.
Pouring the sugar in the bowl
Watching the mixer
Pouring the dry ingredients into the mixer
Stirring in the chocolate chips! You can tell by the chocolate ring around her mouth that she snuck a few for herself!
Scooping the cookies onto the cookie sheet
My little taste tester
"Here Mommy. You try some!"
I think all the crumbs on her face tell that they were tasty!

We enjoyed a yummy dinner at Frogz tonight. Julia fell asleep on the way there and slept in my lap until we got our entrees and then I woke her up. She wouldn't eat anything that we gave her, except my grits, unless it was dipped in their herb butter. The girl loves to dip things!
