Pictures, Puppies, and Plays

Julia had photogenic pictures made for Future Little Miss Enterprise today. We got her done this morning so I took some pictures after she was done with her official pictures. She looked gorgeous!

 

The girls have been begging to take Caddy on a walk. Since it was a nice afternoon out I gave in today.  Some of my favorite quotes from are walk:

•  "Charlotte, I'm a champion dog walker" - Julia
• "Mom, Caddy is not just cool. He's AWESOME!" - Charlotte

Charlotte found her necklace that she made at the Pastor's PJ Party. 

I've given the girls two days to clean their playroom and they've made no progress so this afternoon I locked the playroom door and told them it would stay locked for 2 days and then we would see if they could clean it up.  Charlotte apparently didn't like that because she went to our bedroom and shut and locked our bedroom door! Then tonight mom came over and they were telling her about the playroom being locked. Mom told them that maybe next time they would clean up the playroom. Charlotte responded "Or, maybe next time you'll come over and clean it for us". That child keeps us on our toes!

After dinner tonight Julia was acting out Bible Stories for us. In the picture below she was playing a Shepard. She even used a clothes pin to attach the lamb to the blanket so it would follow her!

I am so glad Julia is feeling better. She get's to celebrate her very own 100th day of school tomorrow!

War Eagle Anyway

We went over to Sue & Tom's this morning to watch the Auburn V. Mississippi State game. It was painful. It looks like it may be a loooong season for Auburn fans this year. Sue abd Tom have a pool so Julia and Hollye went swimming, which allowed me to watch most of the painful game without having to worry about what Julia was doing. Normally I would have appreciated that, but today it almost seemed like punishment not to have a distraction!

When I tried to take Julia's picture this afternoon she wanted to have her picture made with the dogs. She LOVES Nelli and Caddy and most of the time they love her. She likes to try to "ride" Nelli. She'll sit on her back and say "Yee haw. Ride 'em cowboy". And she thinks she is the boss of Caddy. Poor Caddy gets told "be quiet" or "No Caddy" countless times a day, but she still refers to him as her "pal".

P.S. It is REALLY hard to try to get a good picture of 2 dogs and a 2 year old!

Open House!

Julia had open house for her second year at Small Steps tonight. She was excited to see some familiar faces in her class! She got upset when we had to leave, so I hope that's a good sign for the year to come!

She had to have her picture made with Caddy, but was a little upset that he didn't want to sit in her lap. Michael put him down next to her and she said "Hey Caddy. Whatcha doing?".

And just for fun, last year before open house! She's growing up too fast!

Best Friends

Julia and Caddy are quickly becoming friends. Caddy has always tolerated Julia, but she hasn't always been very gentle with him. In the past few weeks she's really started being into Caddy and understanding that she has to be sweet and gentle to him (like not pulling his tail) and Caddy is loving the extra attention.

This afternoon we had to take Caddy to the vet. Michael was afraid he had heartworms and he was overdue for his yearly shots anyway. Thankfully he didn't have heartworms, just allergies! Julia insisted on trying to hold Caddy in her stroller (which all the vets naturally loved). He amused her for a few minutes, but then he was ready to get down.

Poor Caddy desperately needs a haircut!

When they took Caddy to get his heartworm test Julia wanted to know "Where Caddy go?" and kept calling him until they brought him back.

I'm so glad Julia & Caddy have decided to be friends!
