Chuck E Cheese

I can't believe I'm 39 weeks pregnant, I really thought Charlotte would be here by now! I've gained about 34 pounds now. I actually feel pretty good, but I do have a hard time getting comfortable at night. I still have on my wedding rings, which is a miracle to me. I had to retire them at about 36 weeks with Julia. I was scheduled to be induced tomorrow, but backed out tonight. As anxious as we are to meet Charlotte, I'm going to wait it out until my due date on Friday before I schedule to be induced.

Squeeeze!

We took Julia to Chuck E Cheese this afternoon. That has quickly become one of her favorite places. I don't think a day goes by that she doesn't ask to go to the castle (Disney) or Chuck E Cheese.

She got stickers, a crown ring, and of course, a whistle and spider with her tickets! I'm soaking up every second before our family of three becomes four!

American Girl

Julia got her first American Girl catalog in the mail today. Since we got back from church Julia has been alternating between "loving" Caddy, riding her rocking horse, and picking out a baby!

I had a doctor appointment this afternoon. The verdict is, I'm still pregnant! Charlotte is nice and cozy in there. Dr. Pollard did say he could induce me on Monday, but I'm still a iffy about it. I have until Sunday night to make a decision, so I guess we'll see how I feel then!

Happy Labor Day!

Well, today was labor day, but unfortunately I didn't spend it labor! We've had a pretty lazy day. We ran some errands, went for a ride in the Jeep and got some lunch.

Michael took this picture when I was getting ready this morning. I got the chair from the desk to sit in while I was straightening my hair. It wasn't very long before Julia got her chair and a brush and was sitting next to me doing her hair! :)
We went to Milano's for lunch today. I had the eggplant parmesan in hopes of inducing labor. No luck so far though!
I wanted a cheeseburger for dinner so we set out for Ruby Tuesday's since Annie's was closed today. We didn't make it there before Julia was out so we opted for Dairy Queen to go instead. When Julia woke up she ate some of my leftover chicken tenders and dipped them in Michael's sweet and sour sauce. A few minutes later I noticed that her fingers and around her mouth were red. I guess it's an allergic reaction to the sweet and sour sauce. We tried to give her some benadryl, but I'm not sure how much she actually took. Ever since they tried to give her liquid loratab after she had her adenoids out she has NOT liked to take medicine. That must have been some bad stuff!

You can see the red around her mouth a little here.

It's back to schcool and work for all of us tomorrow, unless Charlotte decides she wants to grace us with her presence! :)

It's Football Season!

Football season is finally here!  Auburn kicked off their season with Clemson tonight. It was not the win we were hoping for, but the good news is there's lots of room for improvement!

When we were getting dressed this morning I noticed that Julia was unaccounted for and quiet, which usually means she's up to something. I found her in Charlotte's room "cleaning". I walked in and she said "Ta da! Look what I made, Mommy!". There was a box of carpet deodorizer on the dresser and she emptied the entire box on the floor. When we walked in the house tonight you immediately smelled it! After she spread it on the floor she got the little scrubber I was using to clean up spots and said "Mommy, I cleaning Baby Charlottes room".
Ta da!

Of course we had to vacuum it all up. Michael got the vacuum and tried to do it himself, but Little Miss Independent insisted on doing it.

We had to get our annual "First Day of Football Season" picture. I thought these would get easier with time, but I'm not so sure about that! :)

38 Weeks
This afternoon we went to Cheeburger Cheeburger for lunch so we took the top off the Jeep.

Sharing a mango milkshake!

It didn't take very long before she was out!

This afternoon Julia and I made a dip and "Tiger Tails" to take to Nana and Pop's for the game tonight. She loves to help me in the kitchen.

We made a blueberry cheesecake dip with orange sugar crystals on top. Julia used the whole bottle of orange sugar crystals!

Sneaking a marshmallow...or two!

Lazy Sunday

We've had a lazy Sunday today. I was trying to finish cleaning out Julia's closet and I needed to try a dress on her. She started crying "No! I don't wanna get dressed!". That about sums up our day!

I almost finished a stack of monogramming for Charlotte. Julia helped me out by picking the thread colors and her favorite, pushing the go button!

Julia's sippy cup leaked milk all over the house. When I asked what happened she said "I made a mess". So true Julia!

We have most everything ready for Baby Charlotte's arrival. We just got the big stuff out of the attic this weekend. We put the bassinet in our bedroom and Julia has enjoyed putting her baby dolls and stuffed animals in it. This afternoon I heard it go flying down the hallway and Julia shouting "Bye bye Baby Charlotte!" She had put her baby doll in it and was taking her for a ride. I told Michael Julia is not allowed to be around the real Baby Charlotte unsupervised! I can totally see that happening again in a few weeks!

Michael usually does bath time, but I gave her a bath tonight. She laid on her tummy and told me she was swimming like a mermaid, then she started saying "reach and pull" and reaching and pulling like they taught her in water babies. She also sang several rounds of  "Row Row Row Your Boat" while she was playing with her toy boats in the bath tub. Nothing is ever mundane with her, everything is entertaining!

We have a stroller!

Someone on our local buy/sell group on Facebook posted last week that they had a double BOB jogging stroller for sale for $75. The catch was, it didn't fold up. We decided to go for it anyway and see if it was something we could fix and if not she said it would fit in the back of her Pathfinder without being folded up so surely it would fit in the back of my 4-Runner. Julia and I were supposed to go pick it up this afternoon, but she was still napping when Michael got off work (Hello 3 hour nap! Thank you thunderstorm!) so Michael went by to get it instead.

When he brought it in after dinner Julia immediately said "Oh! I ride in big stroller!" and climbed in. I'm SO thankful that she loves to ride in her strollers and hope that it continues! Michael told her that since she was the big sister she got to pick her side first. She tested both seats and decided she liked the right side better. Then she wanted Baby Charlotte to get in with her! I told her she would have to wait a few more weeks(!!!) before Baby Charlotte could ride with her.
Trying to figure out how to buckle Baby Charlotte in
Cheese!
The best part about the stroller? It's the one we were going to buy, just the older version, and when Michael got it home and played with it a little bit he got it to fold up! I love a great deal! Now I just have to figure out how to deal with the red, at least it's a true red and not crimson! :)

Getting Charlotte's Room Ready

Julia and I have spent most of today cleaning out Charlotte's room and organizing her clothes. Michael taped off the room to paint this evening and I hope to get started on the bedding this week, so things are finally starting to come together!

Julia spent most of her time either standing in the crib saying "I a baby" or twirling in front of this mirror saying "I a princess"!
Julia wanted to go outside tonight and look at the "baby eggs". I'm pretty sure there aren't any eggs or birds in there anymore, but she likes to go outside and look anyway!

Happy Birthday, Pop!

I had a doctor's appointment this morning so Mom watch Julia for me. Charlotte's heartrate was ??? and I am sad to admit that I have gained 5 pounds in the last month!! Everything looked great and Dr. Pollard said he thought it would be fine for me to go to San Antonio with Michael in a few weeks!

Mom kept Julia for me and when I went to pick her up she was in the front yard riding Uncle Blake's tractor. She couldn't quite reach the pedals, but she made do.

We picked up Natalie and headed to Libby and Susies for a play date. The girls had fun playing, but because my doctors appointment took a little longer than I expected we didn't have that long to play until it was time for lunch and naps!

This afternoon I noticed that Julia was extremely quiet, which usually is not a good sign. I walked into my bathroom to find her with a tube of my lipstick. When she was about 9 months old she put a Bert sticker on this tube of lipstick, so she always says its "Juju's lipstick" when she sees it in my purse or make up drawer. I have had to confiscate it from her before, but this is the first time she's done any real damage with it. She was so proud of herself and kept saying "I so prettyful, Mommy".

My prettyful girl

Tonight we celebrated Pop's birthday at Rodeo's, our family birthday tradition! Julia was so excited about the party hats, candles, birthday song and of course, cake!
Happy Birthday, Pop!
