He is Risen!

He is risen, indeed! Happy Easter! We started our morning off with the girls checking out their haul from the Easter Bunny. They got swimsuits, bug vacuums, a sprinkler, kinetic sand, and of course, candy!
This year the Easter Bunny found the eggs that the girls dyed and hid them around the living room. They loved hunting for them this morning.
After our Easter Bunny festivities we got ready to head to church. I took a few pictures of the girls before church and mom came over after church to take a family picture for us.
This  was as good as we could get for a family picture today!

We had lunch down at the barn and then had an egg hunt in the front yard.
After the egg hunt we were hanging out on the front porch. Charlotte saw a big, fuzzy caterpillar and got so excited showing it to Aunt Robin and bending down to look at it. Julia went to get her bug vacuum to put it in her bug jar. All of a sudden Charlotte waves her hands in the hair and stomps her foot down on it! I don't think I've seen these three boys laugh that hard in a long time!
And this was Julia's reaction when she realized Charlotte had squished the bug while she was gone!
Tonight Michael grilled chicken and Granddad and GranDi came over to eat. The girls played outside and sucked bugs up. They had to have a bath before bed tonight. Charlotte's legs were black! I took off her clothes to put her in her bath. Somewhere between her room and the bathroom she got sidetracked and found my heels that I wore today. She put them on and walked into the bathroom with a big grin on her face. The dirty legs were the best part!

We've had a great Easter and a great Spring Break, but tomorrow is back to the grind. Less than 2 months until summer vacation! The countdown is on!

Easter Fun!

This morning we had our church Easter egg hunt bright and early.  The kids played on the inflatables, then we had a short devotional followed by the egg hunt and snack. The kids were so sweet holding hands while they listened to the devotional.
The 3 and 4 year olds were on second floor and the babies through 2 year olds were on the first floor. I went with Charlotte and Julia went with Michael. He said it was a free for all so he didn't get any pictures of Julia but I got a few of Charlotte. They were allowed to get 12 eggs each. Charlotte would fill up her basket and then get more in her hands. I followed behind her hiding eggs so that she only had 12 in her basket.
This afternoon we dyed Easter eggs. I saw several posts online about dying with rice. I think the girls enjoyed it more and it was less messy for them, but my hands are dyed!
The Robley's came over tonight. We (Michael) fried fish and the kids had a blast playing, as usual. Now we're inside, bathed and ready for the Easter Bunny! I hope he remembers to hop by our house!
