Princess & Pumpkins

Julia got to wear a costume to dance today. I thought her monster costume would probably be a little hard to dance in so she wore her Belle dress instead. She was SO excited about it!
I had some Fall mini sessions last weekend but I didn't get a chance to take my girls picture that day. I've been trying to take them but we haven't had a chance when it's been light out. I took them today but they weren't the most cooperative they've ever been. I did get a few decent ones but I would like to try one more time before the pumpkins are gone!
She posed like that all by herself!
I wanted to carve pumpkins tonight, but Julia didn't! I guess we won't have a jack-o-lantern this year!

A Monday

Monday's are so busy lately! Today Julia had gymnastics and Michael had a football officials meeting so we met for dinner at Zaxby's in between.
Helping Mommy work

Snuggle time with my sweet girl!
Tonight, I realized Julia got really quiet and I couldn't find her. I found her in our bed with her iPad reading Little Critter books!

Julia was looking for a crown to wear with her costume to dance tomorrow. This was the first one she found in  her dress up box and she made everyone take a turn wearing it. Charlotte wasn't too impressed!
Tonight when Julia and I were getting ready for bed she told me a story. I really wish I could have gotten her on video saying it, but I was afraid she would stop. She was so animated! Here's the story: "Mommy, did you know, when I was a little kid I was your age? And a dragon swallowed me. It was sooo dark in that dragons tummy. There was no light, just a fire. And Jesus, he rescued me. He put his super cape on and tied it really tight so it wouldn't fall off and He zoomed and zoomed through the air until He got to the dragons tummy. Then, He helped me put on my lava boots and tie them really right so they wouldn't fall off. He used bunny ears to tie them just like Ms. Gail, see? Then, He scooped me up and laid me back in my bed." I love that imagination!

Fall Festival

Tonight was the fall festival at church. Julia has been excited about it all week and when we pulled in the parking lot she gasped and said "I've been wishing for this my whole life!" Dramatic much?!

The girls had a blast. Charlotte wanted to play every game that Julia played and she took right to trick-or-treating! She would pick her candy out of the bucket and then refuse to put it in her bucket.

Julia was our fearless leader in the maze! There were candy buckets at the dead ends so she didn't mind getting lost!
"How do we get outta here?"
The kids liked the talking candy bowl.
Charlotte is now a pro trick-or-treater!

The hayride was full so Charlotte and I stayed back while Julia and Michael rode.
 My 2 little monsters!
The girls both had a great time, now I have to wash their costumes and get them ready for trick-or-treating Thursday night!

Friday Funday

I have thoroughly enjoyed my day off with the girls! We slept in a little bit before getting our day started.

When I was taking a shower Charlotte decided that the toilet paper needed to be unrolled. She was so proud of herself!
We went to Wal-Mart this morning in search of Play-Doh only to learn that our Wal-Mart didn't have any?!  was not happy!

We ate lunch at Mom's house today. While we were there I was helping Mom with a shirt and Charlotte fell asleep in the high chair. Poor girl was sleepy!
While Charlotte was asleep Julia and I went to the Enterprise pep rally. She was so excited but was a little hesitant when we got there. Today was the 100th celebration of Enterprise football so they had a lot of special guests there and it was really loud. I think she had fun though.

Tonight Granddad rode to Red Level with Michael for his football game and the girls and I had dinner with GranDi. We had to cut our visit short because we ran out of diapers for Charlotte. We're supposed to keep a diary through the weekend of everything that goes in or comes out. I hope we're close to finding an answer for this and that it's nothing life changing, just less diaper changing!

War Eagle!

We're still celebrating last night's win. The girls had to to take this opportunity to wear their Auburn dresses to church.
And I think last nights win must have brought Jamie McMurray some luck. He won the Talladega race today while driving an Auburn car!

Our 4 year old choir sang in church this morning and I had some Fall mini sessions for a few hours this afternoon, but other than that we have been pretty lazy. I have loved lounging around on our new couch before this crazy work week starts!

Finally Friday!

Whew! This has been a long week!

The girls were both asleep when I got to Mom's this afternoon. I let them sleep, but when Charlotte woke up she had some WILD hair! Her hair always looks like this. I don't think she's gonna be one of those girls that can roll out of bed and go! :)
When the girls woke up from their nap Mom gave them their afternoon snack, half an ice cream sandwich each. Charlotte wouldn't eat hers, instead she kept hollering and reaching for mine. I finally broke a piece off of hers and got her to realize it was the same thing. After she ate it I asked her if it was good. She looked at me, grinned, shook her head and said "nah uh"! I asked her again and she grinned and said "yes" plain as day!

Granddad asked Julia to go to the Daleville/Dale County game in Midland City with him tonight so we went home and got her ready to go. Like any good Southern girl, she had to put her make up on for her football date!  (Don't worry, she wore her dress and pearls too!)
I took her over to Granddad and GranDi's. She told Granddad she needed the map. When they were leaving she said told me that she was going to tell Granddad where to go. She said "it's a long way away, Granddad"!
While Julia and Granddad were at the Daleville game and Michael was calling the Barbour County/Abbeville game, Charlotte, GranDi, Nonny and I went out to eat at Ruby Tuesday. Charlotte was loving having both her grandmothers all to herself!

Granddad just dropped Julia off and she's snuggling with me while we wait on Michael to get home. I sure hope these girls sleep in tomorrow!

A Wednesday

I couldn't resist this picture of Julia this morning. She looks so sweet when she's sleeping!
Tonight was church night which means we run home from school, change clothes and rush out the
door to church. Julia loves choir and mission friends though, so it's all worth it!
Charlotte was so tired tonight! She just laid down on the floor tonight.
That's how I feel too, Charlotte! It's been a long week!
