Pasta Time!

Tonight we ordered a pasta bake from Pizza Hut for dinner. I cut up the noodles and let Julia have some. I think it's safe to say she enjoyed it, but a bath was definitely needed when she was done!

Dinner with Harrison & Natalie

Harrison and Natalie came over after school this afternoon to get a tractor outfit I made for Harrison and play for a little bit. Harrison and Julia had fun playing with Julia's house.
Julia let Harrison eat some of her puffs.
So he let her have the remote. I think that's a pretty good look into the future. :)
Michael decided he wanted sushi so we were brave parents and took Julia and Harrison to Myori's for dinner tonight.  They were both pretty good and Julia loved the rice! I think she ate more of my rice than I did.
We came home and played for a little while longer and now this smiley baby is in bed. She was not very smiley when we put her in bed though. She's still crying at night but usually for only a few minutes, I'm hoping that she will start going down without a fight very soon! She's had a croupy cough at night since Friday night so that may be contributing to it. I hope it's gone very soon!

Happy Birthday Shannon!

We celebrated Shannon's birthday a day early with a surprise party. Julia and Sarah helped Shannon blow out her candles!

Julia wore an outfit that I made her last weekend. I can't believe how big she is getting! She loves to stand and pull up on everything!
She is sporting a pretty scrape on her eye from her fall of the bed yesterday morning. I'm sure it's one of many to come!

Ducks for Dinner!

Tyler and Charity came over for dinner tonight and Michael and Tyler grilled the ducks that they got in Mississippi this weekend. Julia had fun showing off her tricks and toys. :)

I am happy to say that we put her down at 8:28 and she was asleep by 8:30! I hope this is not a fluke!

Michael was late getting home from work today so we skipped church and headed to Rodeo's for dinner instead. Julia pitched quite a fit when I tried to put her PJ's on her so I gave in and let her play in her diaper for a little while before bed.
She laughed at the silly dogs.
She played with her toys.
She took all of her toys out of her basket.
And she played with her car seat. She loves to climb over it!

After her play session she was ready to put her PJ's on and go to bed. I'm hoping she's settling back into her fabulous sleeper routine!

Cleaning Up!

Tammy comes tomorrow so I took tonight to finally take the clothes out of the pile on the floor of Julia's closet and put the Christmas clothes up and hang all of her clothes up! Julia helped me pack away her clothes that are too little! :)
I put a piece of clothing in the box and Julia took it out!
I'm just trying to help, Mom!

No Ear Infection!

Julia had a check up doctor's appointment with Dr. Whitaker this afternoon to check on her ears. I was shocked (and happy) to learn that after almost 2 months she no longer has an ear infection! Dr. Whitaker also looked at her red spots on her face and diagnosed her with eczema. I am hopeful that after she has her clogged tear duct fixed it will no longer be a problem. The only place it seems to be is around her left eye. Dr. Whitaker compared the dry skin there to the skin under your nose when you've had a runny nose. It just gets chapped from the constant liquid on it. He told me to just keep it moisturized good.
Mrs. Janet weighed Julia and she weighed 21.8 pounds! Somebody enjoyed their holiday food! :)

We gave Julia stage 3 baby food for the first time tonight. She had spaghetti for dinner. I swear she said "Yum!" :)
Then we gave her a taste of our garlic mashed potatoes. She didn't like them near as much as the spaghetti!
She has warmed back up to her swing, which I am extremely thankful for! She sat in it tonight and watched Fraggle Rock while we got a few things done around the house. It was nice to be able to change the laundry without having to constantly say "Do you have Julia?" or "Where's Julia?"!

No School Tomorrow!!

Today has been a lazy day around the house! We slept in this morning and missed church. This afternoon I got a phone call that school is cancelled for tomorrow due to the threat of snow and ice!! That definitely ruined any chance I had of being productive today!
Mom called and invited us to dinner at her house tonight. I didn't know until we pulled up that she had also invited the Johnsons and Nana and Pop. I thought there was some sort of intervention going on. :)
Julia has enjoyed sitting in her big girl chair and watching TV with us.
She likes to scoot to the very edge and look at us like "Hey, do you see what I did?"
I'm so excited for an extra day at home with her tomorrow! I just hope we can stay warm!

Helicopters and Shopping

Today was filled with helicopters and shopping! We had plans of staying home and being lazy today but we got bored pretty quick so Michael decided he wanted to take us to the Army Aviation Museum on Fort Rucker. Julia snuggled up in our bed and took her bottle while we got dressed. Look at those sleepy eyes!

Julia and I flying an airplane!
Checking out the helicopter

After we left the museum wewe stopped by the new drive-through convience store in Daleville. It was interesting but it would have been more convient if it wasn't so far off the road!

I managed to convince Michael into heading to Dothan. We both had a few things to return and I wanted to look for Julia a couple of things. We got her a new Sophie since we lost hers in Auburn a couple weeks ago and a warm pink hat and mittens since it's supposed to snow here Monday!

We also managed to lose her bow at the mall, I think I'm going to buy stock in bows!

Check out this bed head from tonight!

Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On!

Julia wore blue jeans for the first time today! Mama bought these for her before she was born and she finally wore them today. I think she looked pretty cute in them. :)
