All Girl

Julia has been carrying around this purse that Pinky gave her when we were in Stuart. She has it stuffed with her lipstick, comb, mirror, brush and bow! What else does a girl need?

Sunday Funday...sorta

I have spent most of my afternoon working on presents for Baby Stella's shower next weekend and Michael and Julia have been napping! Julia wore this little dress to church today, Nana made it for me when I was her age. I wanted to take her outside and get a good picture in it, but Michael put some fertilizer down on the grass so he didn't think Julia should stand on it because both know she would go straight for it with her little hands, maybe she'll wear it again though.

Michael did bath time tonight and had her hair standing straight up like a little Cindy Loo Who, but of course by the time I got my camera it fell over. I can't believe how long her hair is!

Hissy Fits

We met Brock, Amy, and Gale for dinner at Outback tonight. Before we left I tried to pull Julia's hair up. Oh. My. Goodness. A full out hissy fit followed! So what did we do? Laughed and documented it of course! One day she'll thank me for these pictures...right?

Sea Turtles

This morning we got up and I got to have my long awaited brunch at the club! My omlet was fabulous! While we waited for our 10:00 reservation we sat on the deck out back and enjoyed the nice weather. Julia occupied her time by looking for birds, turtles and fish!
Calling the birds
"Come back here birds!"

After brunch Nan, Julia, Michael and I drove down to Juno Beach to the Sea Turtle Hospital. Julia loved seeing all of the turtles.
I love the back of this little dress!

After we left the Sea Turtle Hospital we stopped by Grandi's friend Kathy's for a few minutes so they could meet Julia and then we walked around the Gardens Mall and did a little window shopping. When we got back to the house Big grilled steaks for dinner. After dinner Michael and I rented The Help. Everyone else is downstairs watching it and Julia and I are upstairs watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and getting ready for bed since she wasn't very interested in the movie! We head back to the real world tomorrow, I can only hope that Julia does as well on the way back that she did on the way down!

Love that sweet face!

Christmas in February!

We got to Nan & Big's about 2:00 a.m. Eastern time last night/this morning and went straight to bed! Julia let us sleep until about 8:00 before we were up and getting ready for the day. We started the day off with Christmas in February! Since we didn't get to come down during Christmas we celebrated Christmas with Nan & Big and Grandma this morning. Julia even wore her Christmas dress for the occassion.

And her favorite part, filling it up with coins!
After Christmas we went to Michael's favorite restarurant, Conchy Joe's, for lunch. We had a nice view of the water and got to a lot of our old stomping grounds on the way there.
At lunch we were talking about how when we lived in Florida I never saw a manatee. We went looking for them several times, but never saw them. Of course, Michael saw them a couple times in the warm water at the power plant. On our way home we noticed several people standing on a bridge looking at the water so we stopped to see what they were looking at and it was manatees! There were four, two adults and two babies.

Tonight Nan and Big had a "Meet Julia" party for their Maryland friends. Julia took to her role as star of the party like a pro. After dinner she quickly realized that everyone was watching her and stood up on the hearth and counted, did the Hot Dog Dance, sang, and loved every second of being the center of attention and having everyone laugh and clap for her. When she was done with a song she would hop of the hearth, throw her hands out and yell "Ta da!".

Jake & Mickey!

The Disney website has been our best friend tonight while we're trying to pack for our trip to visit Nan, Big & Grandma tomorrow. Julia's two favorites are "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" and of course, "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse".
By the way, don't you love her outfit? She insisted on wearing her new Princess nightgown from Nana and picked out her matching Princess slippers, except only one would stay on. All of this opinionated fashion sense happened while I was trying on clothes to make sure they still fit before I packed them. The only problem was I got this pair of pants on and she wouldn't let me take them off! I told her I thought her outfit would match better if she let me take the pants of, but she insisted on wearing them!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today Julia had her Valentine's Day party at school. Since it fell during my planning and lunch I was able to sneak out and go. They had lots of yummy treats and she got lots of cute Valentine's.
This is not the best picture, but it was the best I got of all of them!
Eating her pink Rice Krispie treats that we made
A crummy iPhone self photo is better than nothing!
On our way out Julia grabbed Mrs. Janene's brownie off the table. She thoroughly enjoyed it!

I got my hair cut after school today, but when we all got home we exchanged Valentine's. Michael & I gave each other candy & Julia got some Play-Doh! She didn't want anything to do with the shirt that matched her pants so she had on her nightgown over her pants. Some battles just aren't worth fighting!

 I love this picture!
 Play-Doh is serious stuff!

 Excited about her Play Doh!
 Love that girl!
Michael picked up Mellow Mushroom for dinner tonight. He offered to cook, but I just wanted to be lazy on the couch. Julia love her "izza", but she thought the lid to her marinara sauce was a hat! Guess who had to have a bath tonight?!
Happy Valentine's Day! This one was definitely better than last year!
