Potty Training

This girl has kept her panties dry all day! We even went out to dinner without an accident. I'm almost afraid to write it out in fear of jinxing us! Potty training has been a struggle with her. She is so stubborn and if she doesn't want to do something there is nothing you can do to make her do it! Here's to hoping that we've finally turned a corner in potty training!

Queen Duties

Julia and I got up this morning and headed to Daleville for the Fort Rucker/Daleville softball game. It was supposed to be held in April but got rescheduled because of weather.  The girls got to go out onto the field and be recognized. Julia sure does love her queen duties!

Pajama Day & EHS Homecoming!

Julia has been studying the letter P this week so today was Popcorn and Pajama Day for Pod B. Julia was so excited to wear her pajamas, I'm sure it's no surprise that she wore horse pajamas. They even have a detachable tail!
Mom check Jace and Julia out of school and brought them and Charlotte to the pep rally.
Julia & Charlotte with our neighbors Christian & Sophia

The band started playing the alma mater and Julia put her arm around Jace. Jace's face got so red and he tried to wiggle away!
Charlotte was really more interested in socializing than she was in the pep rally!
 The Bowdens & The Walters

We attempted a picture after the pep rally. This was the best we got!
I posted this gem on FaceBook today.  A little Flashback Friday to EHS Homecoming 1999!
Tonight was the Homecoming game and they had a Teacher Appreciation Tailgate set up for the high school teachers. They had a tent with Chick-fil-a and a live band. The girls had fun playing with their friends!
By some miracle we made it through the whole game, and we had a Wildcat win! The weather was cool tonight, it was great football weather! I'm hoping it sticks around, at least through the weekend!

Homecoming Fun!

I got this cute picture from Ms. Zoey today while I was at school. These pictures sure brighten my day!
Tonight was the Homecoming Festival at EHS. I let Julia skip acro and the girls and I went up there. They had all kinds of games and vendors set up and then had a bon fire pep rally once it got dark. Even though it was surprisingly cold tonight the girls had a blast!
The girls got their faces painted. Naturally Charlotte got a turtle and Julia got a horse!
Tomorrow is another pep rally and the football game. I love football in the south!

Pick Your Battles

Ms. Angie posted some pictures on Facebook of today's school day. Charlotte told me that she and Ellington played today and from the looks of the pictures I would say they did!

Charlotte has refused to go into dance the past 2 weeks.  She has pitched a screaming, crying hissy fit. We've really been talking up dance this week and she told me she was going in. She was pretty adamant on wearing this leotard though. It's Julia's tap costume from last year and it has become Charlotte's favorite dress up item. She puts it on every night. I decided this was one of those times where I needed to pick my battles and this wasn't a battle worth picking. She was going to dance class after all!  The good news is she went right in without crying and said she had fun! Here's to hoping we've turned a corner and she'll keep this up!
She may have been in class, but she was doing her own thing!
The Barney song with Isla Cate & Ella

After dance Michael picked Chick Fil A & the movie "Home". I'm pretty sure that's the first movie we have ever watched that all 4 of us stayed put and awake and actually watched it. I highly recommend it!

Farm Center & Strong Willed Children

Julia had her first Kindergarten field trip today. They went to the petting zoo at the Coffee County Farm Center. She went when she was in Mrs. Gail's class and last year at Miss Julie's and it's always a favorite. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go but Mom filled in and she and Ms. Parker took plenty of pictures for me!

Julia said she was crying in this picture. They had a big tent set up with black lights so the kids could see their "germs" after they touched the animals. Julia was afraid it was a haunted house like she saw on Halloween last year and wouldn't go in!
We had a photo shoot before school but when I put my memory card in my computer it was corrupted. Thank goodness I discovered it in enough time to do a reshoot! :) Julia has been planning this outfit since she first heard "farm center" mentioned at school. I tried to get her to wear a different top since that vest is just a little too small now, but she was adamant and in reality,  I really didn't care. She looked cute and she was SO stinking proud.
This little girl right here has been giving us fits lately. She has decided that she no longer wants to go anywhere. 3 weeks ago she wouldn't go anywhere without crying. I dropped her off at Mom's and she cried. I picked her up from Mom's and she cried. She cried when we took her to school, dance and church. The past 2 weeks she has refused to go to dance and choir but has been fine everywhere else. In an attempt to get her to go to choir tonight I didn't say anything when she came out of the bedroom with size 12-18 month tights and her sisters red shoes on with her orange and green dress. We were walking into church and she wiggled her hand loose from mine and started squirming and pulling her dress up. I asked her what she was doing and she looked at my like I had three heads and said "pulling my breeches up". Her tights only come to about mid thigh at best!
Unfortunately, she didn't go into choir without crying, but she did eventually go and stay! She can been as sweet as sugar when she wants to be, but she is definitely going to give us a run for our money!
