Elmo Love You!

Julia is still running a fever today so we have been "stuck" at home. I had to go to Wal-Mart tonight and couldn't resist this little Elmo for Julia. She LOVES Elmo and I have been looking for an Elmo, but the only one I've seen is Baby Elmo that makes baby noises. They had this one tonight, it blows kisses when you put his hand to his mouth. I don't know that it will really make her feel better, but she's had fun playing with it!

 

 

     

Fever Baby

Michael, Julia & I went to Dothan around lunch today to return and exchange some things. Julia fell asleep on the way over there so Michael stayed in the car with her while I ran into Hobby Lobby and Bed, Bath & Beyond. When we got to Target we woke her up so Michael could go in with me. We both noticed she felt hot and her cheeks were flushed but we assumed it was because she had been asleep in her car seat for an hour. We did our shopping and realized she was still burning up so we headed home.

We got home about 3:15, took Julia's temperature and it was 101.7! We stripped her down and gave her some tylenol and it came down to 100.4. Then about 7:30 it jumped up to 102.9, after a quick trip to Wal-Green's to get some Motrin it's down to 100.7 and she is snuggled up in bed. You would never know she is "sick" if you didn't check her temperature. She has been running around and playing all evening just like normal. I just hope we get a decent night's sleep tonight !

Last Friday of Freedom :(

Julia and I met Mama, Nana, Pop, Blake, and Tracy for lunch at Jada's today. Mama goes back to work Monday and I go back Wednesday so we had to get one last lunch in! After lunch Mama, Julia and I ran a few errands around town. Julia fell asleep between the time we got in the car at West Gate and pulled into the parking spot at Enterprise Shopping Center across the street!  

Tonight Michael and I had a Sunday School get together at Brian and Sarah Christen's house so Granddad kept Julia. He and Sarah even went to Toy's R Us this afternoon and picked her out a new toy.

We had a great time tonight and I think Julia and Granddad enjoyed some quality time together!

Baby Gym

Julia had gymnastics this morning. It was her next to the last class for the summer. She has definitely enjoyed it so I hope we can do it again next summer.

Julia's Favorite Things!

`Natalie and Harrison gave Julia an Elmo DVD for her birthday. We didn't watch it for a while, but now it is her favorite! She used to not move a muscle when Praise Baby was on, but now it's Elmo. She still loves her Praise Baby, but it doesn't  capture her quite as much as it used to. I think a train could come through the room while Elmo was on and she wouldn't notice! Here's proof!



When we got out the back door Julia goes one of two places:

1. To her car

2. Down the driveway!
