"Snow" Day

I woke up this morning to a little finger tapping me on the shoulder and Julia saying "Good morning, Mommy. Can I go see if it snowed yet?" She ran over to the bedroom window, looked out and gasped "It snowed!! It really snowed Mommy!!"

After we got Daddy off to work we bundled  up and headed outside to play in the "snow". Once we got outside Julia quickly realized that there was a lot more ice than snow.
We didn't last too long outside. Charlotte was so excited that all she wanted to do was run around which was not very safe on ice!

When Charlotte went down for her nap Julia and I bundled back up and went outside again.
She slipped once so then she thought it was funny to "fall" again and again.
She thought the ice on the tree was so neat.

It's snowing!! (Yes, I know her belly was hanging out - oops!)
She tried to make snow angels, but they were more like ice angels.
Julia has been obsessed with Frozen since we saw it before Christmas and sings "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" all the time. She wanted to build a snowman so bad, but we just didn't have enough snow.

(Yes, I put 2013 on the video instead of 2014)

After we were done playing we went inside, ate lunch and put Julia down for her nap. Not long after Julia went to sleep Charlotte woke up so I fed her lunch, bundled her up and took her outside to play some more.
"What is this stuff?"
That lip! God love!
Charlotte spent most of her time of her time outside running in circles and shrieking! She was pretty fascinated with all the ice too.

When we got back inside the girls told me all about their adventures. Of course they were much more talkative before I started recording!

Charlotte has really started talking in the past few weeks. I tried to get her saying some of her words today, but she only gave me a few before she got bored.

When Michael got home we bundled up one more time to go outside and play with him for a few minutes.

The girls and I were pretty stir crazy by tonight. We have days that we don't leave the house, but just knowing that we couldn't leave the house even if we wanted to seem to make the cabin fever worse! When all was said and done we didn't end up with much snow at all, a light dusting at most, but we did have a fair amount of ice which caused the roads to be closed today.

To help ease the cabin fever we had Grandi, Granddad, Nonny, Nanny, and Pop over for dinner tonight. I tested out a new chili recipe for the chili cook-off at church on Sunday. They said it was good so we'll see.

Lunch Date!

Charlotte took a nap this morning while Julia was at school. When I got her out of her crib to go get Julia from school she had a crazy design on her face! She sleeps with a crocheted blanket that Nan gave her and she had fallen asleep with it under her face.
When we picked Julia up from school we met Harrison and Grayson at McDonald's for a lunch date. They had fun playing and Julia got a good nap this afternoon. :)
When we got in the car Julia put her sunglasses on upside down so I turned around to take her picture. I got this pose first.
And then I got this pose. She's not even 4 years old yet and she already knows about the duck face!
I am so loving my time home with these girls and all the little things we get to do like lunch dates with friends!

Heartbroken

The girls started out this COLD day with a trip to Publix. Julia's favorite part of Publix trips is cookie at the bakery!
Trying to stay warm today!

After gymnastics we went over to Nana and Pop's to watch Auburn play in the National Championship game. We loved the first half, but not the second half. We're still proud of our tigers though. I would have never thought after our 3-9, no conference win season last year that we would finish the season this year 11-2, SEC Champs, and #2 in the nation. War Eagle!

Play Date

After church today Julia went over to Cooper's house to play. I think this is the first time that she has gone over to a friends house to play by herself. She had a great time and Allison said she behaved.

Charlotte enjoyed some time as the only child, I think she enjoyed getting to play with her big sisters toys without being told no!
Julia loves her new horse PJ's she got yesterday!
