Glucose Test & Smocking

I had my 27 week check-up today which meant the dreaded glucose test. I got there as soon as I could after school because I had to drink the tasty glucose drink and then wait exactly 1 hour before they could do my bloodwork. The drink was not as bad as I had anticipated, it tasted kind of like a super sugary orange gatorade, but not something I want to drink everyday!

My appointment today was with Dr. Heim so that in the event that he has to deliver it will not be our first time meeting. I don't think that's an issue for us though!

Mom and I also started a smocking class at The Smock Shoppe in Dothan tonight, along with Mrs. Wanda. We'll see how this goes, but hopefully I'll be able to smock some sweet clothes for my little girl!

The Bend & Snap - Legally Blonde Picture

Last March when we were living in Florida my wonderful friends came down to visit one weekend and we went to see Legally Blonde: The Musical in Palm Beach. The musical was very much a "girl thing", but the boys were good sports. Since then "Oh my God, you guys", The Bend and Snap, and other Legally Blonde references have become running jokes in our house and between friends. Today when Baby Girl was being particularly active Michael looked at me and said "She's just practicing her Bend and Snap"!

We have a car seat & stroller!

 Michael and I went to Montgomery today to have the Passat serviced. While we the car was getting serviced we took a loaner car and went to Storkland to look at car seats and baby furniture. After spending hours looking at car seats, strollers and baby furniture we decided on the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio Infant Car Seat and Pliko P3 Stroller. We also got two bases, one for my car and one for Michael's car but they had to order one. It felt so strange coming home with a car seat and stroller in the back!
