Go Wildcats!

I have said all fall that I wanted to Julia to an Enterprise football game and we have missed them for various reasons. Tonight was the last home game, but it was also Amy's 30th birthday. We decided to go to dinner with Amy for her birthday and take Julia to the Daleville game next week, at least she would get to go to a football game this year. When we were leaving McLin's I checked the score on twitter and saw that it was just the beginning of halftime so I convinced Michael to drive by the stadium and let Julia and I get out and stand outside the fence and watch for a few minutes. Once we got there he decided that he wanted to go in too so we headed inside the stadium.

It actually ended up working out nicely. We were there about an hour, for about half of the 3rd quarter and all of 4th quarter, and that was about all Julia could take. She was starting to get antsy and wanting to wander at the end of the game. She did love it though. She kept saying "Mommy, there's my wildcats. I love my wildcats!"

When we got home tonight Julia insisted on wearing her tutu over her PJ's. She told me she was a ballerina and asked me to put on her ballerina music. I wasn't sure exactly what ballerina music was, but I finally found  something on iTunes that satisfied her. When our little ballerina finally went to sleep she was still wearing her tutu.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We took the girls trick-or-treating tonight, that was an adventure! I took Julia out to school this afternoon and one of the girls in the cosmetology department braided her hair so she would look like a real cowgirl. She thought she was so big! When we left the band was outside practicing and she just stopped in her tracks to watch them and then started dancing!

Julia took a late nap this afternoon so we had to wake her up to go trick-or-treating which meant she was not in the best of moods to start with. Once she realized she was getting candy she perked up a little bit!

Once Julia got out of her mood she had a blast. I told Michael that next year I want to trick-or-treat our family the day before so that we can go actual trick-or-treating on Halloween. 2 hours seems like a long time, but it just wasn't enough time! Michael doesn't get home from work until about 5:15 and by the time we got everything together and in the car it was already 5:30 and trick-or-treating was over a 7:00.

When we went to Mimi and Papa Thad's we let Julia trick-or-treat in their neighborhood. Tartan Pines goes all out and there were lots of decorations and candy. Several of the houses had people sitting outside instead of ringing the doorbell, most of them in costume with lots of decorations. One house had a girl passing out candy with a fox mask on. When we walked up I was thought Julia might be a little scared. She was a little hesitatnt, but she said "Mama, it's a fox!" When we were walking away down the sidewalk she yelled "Bye fox! Thanks for the candy! Had a good time!"

When we went to Mr. Speed and Mrs. Tula's they gave her some coins for her piggy bank. When we got to Mimi and Papa Thad's Julia looked at Papa Thad and said "You got any money?" I could have died! But of course, he found some money for her!

Charlotte was the cutest pumpkin out there tonight without a doubt. She was so good and easy going while we drug her all over.

I know next year will be even more fun for all of us!

Jack-O-Lantern! Video

Julia loves to play with play doh, but we only get it out when she's going to be closely supervised. I told her we could play with it after her nap today and she had a ball. She forms it into shapes and tells me what it is and plays with it.

Her no face

Doesn't she look so pitiful?

We didn't get a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch last week so we went to the FUMC pumpkin patch tonight and got one to carve. Julia was so excited about a pumpkin and a jack-o-lantern!

After the pumpkin patch we went to Rodeo's for dinner and home to carve our pumpkin. Julia thought it was the best thing ever. She was SO excited!
