Lighthouses and Crabs

This morning we got to see Alex in Madagascar when he FaceTime'd Nan.  The girls thought that was so cool!

Today Nan, Michael, Julia, Charlotte and I went to the Calvert Marine Museum. The girls loved climbing up the lighthouse. They thought it was such a neat place to explore.
After we left the museum we went to get some crabs for tonight. The guy was raising (?) soft shell crabs and Julia got to hold one while Charlotte snoozed in the car. She thought that was pretty neat!
We went crabbing over at Aunt Cindy's this afternoon too. It's a good thing we stopped at the crab man or we would have been hungry! We caught a few, but not enough to feed our crowd!
The girls loved the crabs, but I think they had just as much fun hanging out with Christy!
And to end the night, Big ordered up another picture perfect sunset.

VBS - Day 2

Today was a rainy day for day 2 of VBS.  Julia was so glad that Tucker was there today and that they were in the same group!

This afternoon I took Julia back out to Hair in Motion to let them try to get the tangles out of her hair form Saturday night. It was still so tangled and she wouldn't let me work on it anymore. It took two of the girls almost an hour of working on her, but they finally got all the tangles out! They washed and dried her hair and I think it's safe to say she enjoyed that part. She thought she was big time!
We had to take our daily VBS picture this afternoon because it was raining this morning, but the sun came out this afternoon!
This evening Charlotte was playing with her dolls. She came out with her Jasmine costume on and informed me that she and Elsa were going to the ball and asked if I would take their picture. This girl loves dress up, sparkles, and everything girly!

It's the Final Countdown

Today was Julia's last Monday of Kindergarten.  I'm torn between wanting Thursday to get here now and wanting Thursday to never get here so we don't have to leave Kindergarten!

Choir Program

The girls had their choir program at church tonight. It was Charlotte's first year of choir and Julia's  third. They both got up there and sang so good and they looked pretty cute too. I was SO proud!

I took these two screenshots of their classes from the video I made tonight. I can't believe that next month Julia will be moving upstairs to the Children's department and no longer be in the Preschool Department! Bittersweet!
I rolled down that hill many days after church! It looked a whole lot bigger 30 years ago though!

Make sure you watch the video below to see the girls performances tonight. It's sure to make you smile! :)

Missions Program

Charlotte insisted on picking out her clothes and dressing herself this morning. Sometimes you have to pick your battles and this one wasn't worth picking! Mom said she looked like Dorothy with her ruby slippers on!
Tonight was the Missions program at church. Both girls said a Bible Verse with their Mission Friends Class. The Kindergartners also got Bible's as a promotion gift from the Preschool department to the Children's department. I can't believe Julia will be moving upstairs in just a few weeks!
Julia getting her Bible from Ms. Cat

The girls were so proud of themselves for memorizing their Bible verses and I was too! I can't believe we're already starting end of the year programs. Summer will be here before we know it!

Muffins with Mom & Fry Word Hall of Fame!

Today was Muffins with Mom at Charlotte's school. She was super excited that she got to come to school with me for a little bit before we went to her school. When we got to her school she colored me a card and gave me the gifts she made for me before we went to the fellowship hall and had muffins. She was so sweet and so proud that I was there with her. I loved spending some one-on-one time with her!

This afternoon I got a text from a sweet friend with these pictures. Julia finally got tested for her 100 fry words today and got to put her name on the Fry Word Hall of Fame! She's been working so hard for this and we're so proud of her!  When I showed her her next set of 100 fry words her eyes got real big and she said "Oh. My. Goodness. There are more!?" HAHA!

It's been a busy first 3 days of May and I don't think it's going to slow down this month!
