Party Eve!

Tomorrow is Julia's 1st birthday party! Michael & I finally decided what we are going to get her so we ran to Dothan as soon as I got out of school and let Mama picked her up from Nana & Pop's.

When we got back from Dothan Aunt Megs was here! She brought Julia's cake & some other goodies for the party. Everything looks so pretty & yummy!

We went to Rodeo tonight for some Mexican and then Meghan & I finally watched Prince William & Kate's wedding from this morning. Neither one of us wanted to get up at 3:00 a.m. to watch so I DVR'ed it this morning. We agreed that her dress was beautiful, but her bouquet left something to be desired.

Time to get some rest for party day! 

Oh no!

 Julia and I started our morning outside today!  She played in her exersaucer on the front porch while I weeded the flower beds. She waved and said "Hey!" to every car that drove by!

Julia did not want to take a nap today, but Praise Baby finally lulled her to sleep. That lasted about 20 minutes! Do you see Nelli & Caddy's toys under her swing? She loves to throw their toys for them and they bring them right back for her to throw again! 

 This afternoon we had an "Oh no!" moment. (This is her new "trick". When you say "Oh no!" She puts her hands on her head like the picture below.) In a time span of about 10 seconds Julia managed to get Michael's medicine off his nightstand and open the cap! I called CDC and they said to watch her at home and give her lots of fluids,  but she seems to be fine.

 Michael & I had spaghetti for dinner tonight and we decided to let Julia try some. I didn't put any sauce on the noodles - I just washed her high chair cover last week! I think the pictures are proof that she liked it though!

Little Model

After a great night's sleep with Monday night, Julia slept horrible last night. She tossed and turned and moaned all night long. I think she is getting her top teeth in, at least I hope that's what it is! I don't want a sick baby, especially with Spring Break next week! I think she might of slept for one 45 minute stretch, but was up most of the night so I took this morning off to try and catch up on some sleep. I gave her some tylenol about 4:00 and we both finally got some rest. 

After work this afternoon Julia watched a Praise Baby DVD in the office while I worked on some projects. She got her paci clip wrapped around her hand twice but was too enthralled in Praise Baby to worry with freeing her hand! She's addicted to those DVD's!

My Dad & Ann sent Julia this little outfit in her package last week. I thought it looked so cute on her so we snapped a few pictures before church this evening.

I can't believe she stood up long enough for me to take these pictures! She can stand unassisted for a fair amount of time, but usually she pulls up on something and doesn't realize she's standing without holding on. When she realized she's standing by herself is usually when she plops to her bottom. She's going to be walking in no time!

After church tonight we went on our evening run. Julia held on tight and conked out! She's such a mess!

After our run we called Michael to tell him goodnight before I put Julia to bed. Thanks to technology we got to "FaceTime" (aka video chat). Julia would look at the phone screen and smile and laugh when she saw her daddy. She also held the phone up to her ear like she was talking on it which kinda defeated the purpose of video chat, but was pretty cute. The girl loves telephones!

Balloon Girl

Michael left this morning for El Paso, Texas for the week for training so Julia & I are having a girls week! We ate dinner at Nana & Pop's tonight and then headed home to relax before bedtime. 

Aunt Donna & Nana gave Julia this balloon on her dedication present yesterday and it has kept her entertained all night! I think they could have saved her money and just given her the balloon and she would have been just fine! 

By the way, I just noticed the toilet paper stuck to her bottom! HA HA

Taste Tester

Tonight Julia has found every. single. crayon in the house! There are about 4 boxes of crayons in the office and she has found every box and taste tested every crayon! She has also pulled out most of my thread and taste tested that! She pulled all the trash out of the office trash can also, but thank goodness she didn't taste test that! She definitely keeps us on our toes!

This evening the Turman's came over for dinner. Julia & Betsy sat on the floor and played for a long time. As you can tell from the pictures, Julia is a little rough but she really doesn't mean to be! She thinks she's playing sweetly!
