Best. Day. Ever.

Julia had her first horseback riding lesson today. After 2 years of asking, begging, and crying to ride horses she finally got her wish, according to her this way "the best day ever"! 

Julia outside the stable. She has now declared that she would like to "live with the horses". 

She started out with learning all about the different brushes used to "broom" the horse. She "broomed" one side and Mrs. Karen "broomed" the other side. 

Next, she checked Bella's feet and learned all about the parts of the horse feet.

She was loving every second of it and ready to FINALLY ride!

Somehow Julia managed to squeeze herself and Bella through about 

2 feet of the 12 feet opening to the barn!

After Julia was done riding she had to muck the stalls! 

And, of course we couldn't leave without giving Bella a little more love and a treat!

Julia loved every second of it and is so excited to go back next week. I see many hours spent around horses in our future.
