Peek A Boo!

Julia had fun playing peek-a-boo behind our bedroom door tonight. She would crawl behind it, shut it and then open it back up to see if I was still there! And of course, she always likes playing with Caddy's  kennel! 

A glimpse into the future...

Tonight you were playing with my cell phone and car keys and saying "bye" over and over to me then you would take off crawling.  I now have a small glimpse into our life in about 16 years, I'm glad I have a little while to get used to the idea!

Side note: You did have a bow in your hair today, it just fell out before I took these pictures tonight!

Lazy Sunday

Today was a pretty low key day of getting some things done around the house. Julia took a long nap which was nice, too bad Michael & I were being productive instead of napping with her! 

Shopping Trip

This morning Daddy had a failed attempt at pancakes so we ended up at Huddle House for breakfast. We tried to give you some pancakes and grits but you weren't a big fan. You ate the pancakes ok, but you gagged and spit out the grits when we fed them to you. They definitely weren't the best grits I've ever had so I hope you'll end up being a grits fan like me when you have some "good grits". While we waited for our food you enjoyed reading your book.

After breakfast we headed home for a little while and decided to head to Dothan. We have finally gotten around to doing some things around the house and are looking for some storage ottamans to store your toys under the television when it gets mounted on the wall next week. Before we left you did a little exploring in the refrigerator.

Then you tried to escape out the door when Daddy took Nelli and Caddy outside. You did a pretty good job of crawling over to the door and getting it open!

Daddy was practicing his duck calls in the truck on the way to Dothan. You thought it was hilarious. He's trying his best to make you his little duck hunting partner!

We didn't come home with any storage ottamans but we did come home with a new television for our room. Now maybe I can read the weather reports and Daddy can read ESPN without getting out of bed and walking over to the television! We also made a quick stop at the brand new Hobby Lobby! I have been waiting a long time to have a Hobby Lobby close by! There were lots of things I wanted but since this was the first weekend they were open the lines were way too long for me to wait in without you and your daddy getting impatient! As you can tell from the picture below we also stopped by Babies R Us, you were very excited about your food and new sippy cups! After a quick trip to Target you were sound asleep on the way home!

Home Again!

I woke up this morning with hopes of returning to work, but didn't feel like I had enough strength back so instead I took it easy this morning and sprayed the house down with Lysol before I went to get Julia! She was leaned back in Mama's lap in the recliner and I promise you she literally almost jumped out of her lap when she saw me, I was so glad to know she missed me too!

Julia decided that she wanted to try some of Michael's Gatorade tonight. I think she liked the funny noises she could make into the bottle more than what was in the bottle!

This evening we attempted a trip to Dothan get some fabric at Hancock's and to check out Hobby Lobby, which opened this week, as well as grab some dinner but quickly found out I wasn't up to it! We made it through dinner at La Parilla with Jay, Dianne, Shannon, Eleson, Sarah, Fran & RC but that was about it. I ran in Hancock's to get the fabric I needed but went straight to it & straight to the check out! Hopefully I'll have more strength tomorrow so we can enjoy the weekend!

8 Seconds!

Julia woke up about 9:00 throwing up last night. She got sick a couple times within about an hour and then seemed to be fine. I thought it might be the stomach virus that is going around, but since she only got sick 3 times, all within an hour, I'm hoping that's not it. Maybe the pasta didn't sit well with her? 

You can't tell today that she didn't feel good last night. Michael was trying to teach her how to be a rodeo star on her rocking horse. A guy that Michael works with gave us the rocking horse as a hand me down from his granddaughters. We're going to take it to Nana & Pop's tomorrow so she can play with it over there! 

She was pushing that stool around the floor tonight trying to stand up on it. I love the sweet smile in the last picture, I can't believe how big she's getting! 

Pasta Time!

Tonight we ordered a pasta bake from Pizza Hut for dinner. I cut up the noodles and let Julia have some. I think it's safe to say she enjoyed it, but a bath was definitely needed when she was done!
