Julia the Red Nosed Toddler

Julia woke up with a red nose this morning! She didn't really react when we showed her her nose in the mirror, but she kept trying to rub it off.

Santa Claus comes tomorrow!!
Sweet girl
Tinsel was hanging out on Julia's changing pad with my red lipstick!

We loaded up and headed to Dothan this afternoon. We needed to finish up a few last minute Christmas things. Julia fell asleep sitting straight up on the way over there, I don't know how she slept like that, but it didn't seem to bother her!

Girls Night!

Tinsel and Mickey had a snowball fight last night! Julia swiped Mickey before I could get a picture of him, but based on the amount of snowballs around Mickey I would say that Tinsel won. I guess she does have more experience with snowball fights than Mickey does!
Tonight we had our 2nd Annual Holiday Dinner at The Rawls. It was so good to catch up with these girls!
Michael sent me this picture while I was out. It looks like Tinsel got a little mischevious already tonight!
I wonder what Julia will think when she realizes she has a red nose like Rudolph!

It's Santa!

The Messer girls left to go back to Mobile today. I'm so glad we got to spend some time with them, I think they would have stayed with us if they could have!
This evening we finally took Julia to see Santa Claus. I wasn't sure how she would do. She knows who Santa Claus is and gets excited when she sees a Santa figurine, but the real thing is a lot bigger than the Santa's she usually sees! She didn't "love" Santa, but she didn't cry, so I'm considering our visit a success!
We had to wait for the train to pass when we were leaving Enterprise.
Playing peek-a-book while waiting to see Santa Claus
Not too sure about Santa
No tears, but no smiles either!
Of course we couldn't leave the mall without a ride on the carousal. Julia loves it! She said "weeee" the whole time!
After we left the mall we went to dinner at Old Mill. Julia sat in a booster seat next to me and she was so proud of herself. She knew she was such a big girl!
The flash was so bright on my iPhone that I made Michael let me take a picture of him so that he could see how bright it was. This was the reaction I got. Ha ha!

Present Unwrapping Practice!

Tinsel was hanging out in Julia's tree this morning.
The Messer girls went to church with us today and Macy rode to lunch with us. Julia loves Macy!
After lunch we came home so Julia could take a nap, but instead of taking a nap Julia decided to unwrap some Christmas presents. Unfortunately she unwrapped mine and I have a feeling Michael won't rewrap them!
We went over to Nana and Pop's for dinner tonight. The Messer's had some presents for Julia. She and Macy had fun playing with her new tent and baby doll!
Macy got a hold of my camera tonight. The following pictures are a product of her creativity. I wish I could get Michael to pose as easily as she did!
Macy had to get in on the modeling too so she & Michael swapped for a little while!
These are two sweet girls! I have a feeling they're going to grow up to be good friends!

The Messer Girls!

Julia and Michael came out to Josh and Stephanie's wedding this afternoon. Julia wouldn't be quiet during the ceremony so Michael took her out. They sat in his truck any played with my phone! It looks like Mickey even made an appearance!
Julia loves helicopters so we thought she would love seeing the helicopter outside of the convention center. She thought it was pretty cool until we tried to get her to touch it, then she freaked out!
The Messer girls got in town today. Jimmy's team is playing in a tournament in Enterprise Monday and Tuesday so they came up a few days early to hang out with us. After the wedding reception we met them at McLin's for dinner. McLin's was packed! Good thing Mickey was there to keep Macy entertained!
We can't wait to spend some time with the Messer girls this week!

Christmas Party!

When Julia woke up this morning she found Tinsel hanging out in the kitchen. Julia's school Christmas party is today and I forgot to make anything to take, but Tinsel saved the day! We're lucky we got such a thoughtful elf!
Today and tomorrow are finals at school and since Michael took a few hours off Tuesday to go to her program neither one of us could go to her party today. Peyton's mommy, Ashley, sent me these pictures though. Thanks Ashley!
I think Julia was  on a sugar high tonight! When we tried to put her to bed tonight she started singing her songs from her school program over and over again. Then, when I told her to go night night she laid her head down, fake snored and then stood up laughing like it was the funniest thing that has ever happened! The good news is she's sound asleep now!
