The Cat in the Hat!

This week is Read Across America week to help celebrate Dr. Suess's birthday on Saturday. Julia wore Nonny's Cat in the Hat hat to school today. Mom said that everyone kept telling her how cute she was and she got EMBARASSED! I didn't know Julia ever got embarrassed!

I had to bribe her with a popsicle to get her to let me take her picture. I still didn't come out with anything great, but it's better than nothing! When she was eating her popsicle she kept telling me "It's so juicy!"

Michael took off early this afternoon and took  Charlotte to the doctor. She's had some congestion and a cough for almost a week now and Mom called about lunch and said that she had coughed up a little blood. They left the doctor's office with a diagnosis of RSV and a instructions for breathing treatments. You can tell she doesn't feel great, but she's still in a fairly good mood during the day, but night time is a whole 'nother story!
Julia wanted to make sure Charlotte didn't miss out on the Cat in the Hat fun!

Sick Girls

Charlotte woke up at 11:15 last night vomiting and Julia followed her about 3:15. They only got sick twice a piece at about the same time so Mom came over to the house so they could sleep in and I had hoped they were better. Charlotte hasn't gotten sick again, but also hasn't had her normal appetite and has slept a majority of the day. We thought Julia was feeling better until she got sick again about 10:15 and then again not long after I got home. She has slept almost the whole time I've been home.

We just put in Peter Pan that Julia got for Valentine's Day and are all sitting in the living room watching that. She seems to feel better after her nap so fingers crossed that she's on the mend!
Julia snuggled up on Daddy. You can really she her bruised nose in this picture, I think it looks worse today.

No More Monkey's Jumping on the Bed!

Mama called the doctor, the doctor said "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

This evening Julia was sitting on our footboard watching Disney Junior and I was working on the computer. I heard her stand up and before I could turn around to tell her to sit down I heard a loud "thud" and looked up to see her wedged between my nightstand and the bed. She was head down with her legs sticking straight up in the air. When I was her I was terrified that her neck was broken. When I got to her she was wedged so hard that I had to actually pull her out.

Once I got her out, realized her neck was ok and saw her nose I just knew it had to be broken. I called Mom to come get Charlotte and then called Mrs. Pam while waited for Mom to get there. Michael
went ahead to Dr. Mike's office and Mom dropped me off there when she got Charlotte.

Dr. Mike checked her out said it wasn't broken and sent us on our way.
About 15 minutes after it happened
"Are you kidding me? You want me to let you touch my nose? I don't think so!"
A little more cooperative after a little sweet talking from Dr. Mike
A trip to the "ice cream house" AKA Dairy Queen makes everything better

This little angel is 5 months old today and full of smiles!

About 4 hours later
singing to Sofia the First
We'll see what it looks like tomorrow, I'm fairly certain she's going to have at least one black eye. Either way, she's going to look gorgeous for her first gymnastics pictures on Wednesday!

Ready for Bed!

Michael and I made a last minute decision to drive to Birmingham tonight and take the girls to the Mcwane Center tomorrow. Since we still had to pack when I got home we got a late start, but made it safely. Now it's time to rest up for some fun tomorrow!

Landmark Park

When we got in the car to go to church this morning Julia asked to listen to the "Mayba Song". We turned it on and were dancing and she kept saying "Oh yeah. Oh yeah" Funniest thing ever!

I had a maternity session at Landmark Park in Dothan this afternoon. We have wanted to take Julia so Michael and the girls rode with me. They were both asleep when we got there so they sat in the car while I took my pictures.

After I got done with my pictures I found Michael and the girls. Julia was asleep in the stroller but we walked over to the animals anyway. I rubbed her arm a little bit and she didn't move a muscle. I whispered "Julia, there's animals" and she sat straight up in her stroller and started looking all around saying "Where? Where's the animals?" Michael and I both busted out laughing.

We saw pigs, horses, goats, sheep, chickens & cows. The goat was trying its best to get out of the pen and get to Julia. She named the cow "Darndey". I have no idea where that name came from or what it means, but that's what she named it!

 Checking out the pigs
When we got ready to go Julia decided she had to go to the bathroom. We pulled the potty seat out of the back and let her sit on it. There's nothing like a potty break with a cup of ice cream with two spoons in it!

Tonight we went over to Aunt Donna's for Cristy's birthday dinner.  Julia was very disappointed that we skipped the singing and just cut the cake!

Eddie called this afternoon and wants to show our house Wednesday afternoon so it looks like we'll be spending tomorrow night and Tuesday night cleaning! That sounds like a fun start to our week!

Beach Babes

Charlotte and I got up this morning and went to get Julia from Grandi and Granddads so we could head to the beach. Mom rode with us and we met Tracy and Hollye down here.

Julia has been asking to go to the beach house for months. As soon as we got here she wanted to go over to the beach so Hollye and I took her over. It was so pretty, but the sand was cold on our toes!
When we got back from the beach Mom and Tracy said that the power had flashed while we were gone. We were sitting there watching TV when a power truck pulled up. The guy got out and walked over to the side of the house. While we were trying to figure out what he was doing our power went out. I headed outside to see what was going on and the guy said the breaker had burned up. We didn't believe him, but sure enough it was melted. So, we decided to head out to Hobby Lobby to do some shopping while we waited on the power to come back on.

After our Hobby Lobby trip we were ready to eat dinner. Of course with 4 girls it took forever to decide where to eat. We finally settled on Hammerhead Fred's. You can tell it's winter and PCB is not a snowbird hotspot because it was dead! I think there was only one other table in the restaurant.
We're back at the beach house now and the girls are ready for bed. I'm hoping for a good nights sleep from Charlotte!
