Easter Festivities!

We started our day off with the church Easter Egg hunt. We usually have it at Dr. McQueen's house but with all the rain yesterday and the gloomy forecast for today it got moved to the church.

I tried to take a picture of the girls together but Julia wasn't interested.

We started off the morning with the inflatables in the Fellowship Hall. Julia had a blast going through the inflatable obstacle course with the big kids!
Since the egg hunt was moved inside and the age groups were divided into different parts of the church so Michael took Charlotte and I went with Julia. He said Charlotte meant business with her egg hunt! He said she would put her basket down and go collect eggs and then bring them back to her basket. He took some pictures and even a short video for me!
Julia filled her basket with eggs too. I helped hide eggs yesterday and we hid 4,000 eggs for the babies-3rd grade. That's a lot of eggs y'all! The 3's and 4's were hidden a little big harder, meaning they weren't just sitting on the wall in the hallway. :)
After the egg hunt we got some lunch and headed to Ozark for Stella's second birthday party. The party was an Easter Egg hunt at the Dale County Lake. The girls are going to be professional egg hunters by the time the weekend is over!
This was the best Meg could get for a group picture!
Charlotte had to see what kinds of treats she got in her eggs!
Charlotte befriended Mr. Al and he made sure she got cake!

When we got home from Ozark we dyed our Easter Eggs. The girls both loved it. Charlotte didn't quite get it which frustrated Julia! Charlotte would put the eggs in the dye and immediately take them out. She also tried to see how many eggs she could cram into one bowl, including pushing on them and cracking them! Julia was much more into making sure the colors turned out pretty and using the special pencil to write on them and putting stickers on them. Unfortunately for her Charlotte wouldn't let her eggs soak very long either so none of them got a very deep color, but they both had fun doing it and that's what matters!
She was telling me that her egg was "FABulous"!
I called Mom tonight and told her that we were going to have to bail on providing the deviled eggs for lunch tomorrow. While the girls had fun dying the eggs I don't think anybody would want to eat them now!

The Robley's came over for dinner tonight. The kids played hard while the adults visited. Sweet Ellington discovered that she could sit in Charlotte's stroller. Charlotte likes to do the same thing.
After the Robley's left the girls put on their new Easter PJ's and set their Easter baskets for the the Easter Bunny. All Julia has said she wanted in her Easter basket is Peeps. I hope the Easter Bunny delivers!
Silly girls!
The girls are sound asleep and Michael and I are about to go to bed so that the Easter Bunny can come!
