First Day of Dance & Open House

Today was a big day for the girls, especially Charlotte. She finally started dance and she had Open House at Small Steps. 

Charlotte was playing this morning and got her caterpillar toy and said "mama, take our picture".

 

She played so well by herself this morning. She took care of her babies, played with Barbies, and built block towers. Then she climbed up in my lap to watch TV and fell sound asleep. 

Ms. Parker sent me these pictures of Julia at school today. She said Julia was so excited when she found the horse in the puppet box. Imagine that!

Ms. Parker said that Mr. Martin came in to say hey to the class today. He was talking to Julia and Julia said "so what exactly does a principal do". HA!

This afternoon I took Charlotte to get her ballet slippers for dance today. She was SO excited and wanted to wear her leotard, but settled for her ballet shirt.

I can't believe Julia started her third year of dance today! She was extra excited to add tumbling to her tap and ballet class this year.

 

Just for fun, here's Julia on her first day of dance for the past 3 years. 

 After we dropped Julia off  at dance it was time to get Charlotte ready for her class. To say she was excited is a huge understatement!

We  got to go into Julia's class at the end to go over some rules. She was ready to change her leotard and move on to tumbling!

I snuck a few pictures through the doorway of Charlotte before her class started. She looked so big sitting there!

After Charlotte's class we got to go in and hear some rules again, we also got a group picture of all the girls. Well, at least we attempted one! :)

I'm SO thankful that they both have class on the same day this year instead of having to be there two different days. I know that day is coming, but I'm enjoying only having to go one day this year!

After we got Julia in her tumbling class Charlotte and I headed home to change clothes, get Michael and head to Open House at Small Steps. She was SO happy to be back at school, and even more excited that Ms. Zoey is her teacher again!

Ms. Angie is Charlotte's other teacher this year. 

It's going to be a great day of school and dance for both our girls! It makes it so much easier on my mama heart when they're happy to go!
