My Little Helper

This evening I had a load of laundry on the floor by the washing machine and took the clothes from the dryer to the couch to be folded. Julia saw me carrying them so she got her clothes off the floor in the laundry room and carried them to the couch also. I told her those clothes still needed to be washed and if she carried them back to the laundry room she could help me put them in the washing machine so she carried them back and helped me put them in! I can't believe how fast she is growing up, maybe I can teach her to like doing laundry! :)
She liked watching the water go around!

And this is my little paci addict! She found two paci's tonight and decided that she needed both of them! She's such a little ham!

Sweet Girl

This morning Julia looked for Mickey all over again and couldn't find him, so she settled for taking a Mickey Mouse coloring book with her to Nana and Pops.
Tonight I met Amber for dinner at McLin's. It was nice for just the two of us to be able to catch up. Michael sent me this picture, I guess Julia took my absence at the dinner table tonight as the opportunity to sit in my seat!
She has been so funny tonight. She kept grabbing my finger and pulling me along and saying "Come on, Mama! Come on!" or "Come play".

When I get Julia a hug I usually say "sweet girl" or something similar. Tonight she kept running up and hugging and patting my legs and saying "Sweet girl, Mama". She's the sweet girl!
This is why I always keep her hair pulled back!
Look at those pretty curls!

Playtime and a Ponytail

Julia went back to school today for the first time since before Christmas. Pop said when he dropped her off she ran straight to Ms. Sue and gave her a big hug!

It's Tuesday so that means tonight was another girls night for Julia and I! The zoo that Michael and I got her for Christmas came with a little DVD with 4 6 minute short stories. I put it on for Julia this afternoon while I changed the laundry and did a few other things around the house. She loved it! She laughed so hard when the animals made their sounds.
We also broke out Julia's MegaBlocks that she got for Christmas. She love stacking them up and making the "choo choo".
Walking the princess and horse through the castle gates
I may have gotten carried away with the block pictures, but she was so cute and attentive playing with them!

She had a tight grip on her Cinderella pez dispenser again tonight. I asked her who it was and she said "a princess".  I think it's amazing how little girls are wired to recognize and be attracted to things like prinesses and baby dolls. You should have seen her face when I said, "yes, it's Cinderella". It's like she knew exactly who that was and she was starstruck!
Julia has had enough hair for a ponytail for a while, but I haven't pulled it back yet. When I changed her into her PJ's tonight I pulled it back just to see what it looked like. I don't think I like it! She looks way too "grown" with it all pulled up!
We're snuggled up right now watching "College Road Trip" on Disney Channel. They were just skydiving and Julia said "Oh no Mommy! Oh No!" I have a feeling at least one of those words it going to come out of her mouth in a second when I tell her its time to go night night!

A Beautiful Day!

It was so pretty outside today! It was 73 degrees and sunny when Julia and I got home so we got out in the yard to play. I wanted to walk over to the playground, but it was 4:30 before we were home and I was changed and it gets dark a little after 5:00 so we decided to just play in the our yard.

Julia tested out the wagon MomAnnette gave her for Christmas.
Then we waved at the helicopters...
and listened for the helicopters.
Then Julia took a break from helicopters and used me as her personal jungle gym!
Next, she gave Daddy a call to see when he would be home.
And then it was back to helicopter watching!
Julia has a new shocked/surprised/amazed face. It's so funny when she does it!
"Wow. Helicopters."
Julia fell asleep in the car on the way home from dinner at Moms. Michael brought her in and put her on the couch where she is still passed out. I told him we should just get the bed rail out of the attic and put it on the couch and let her sleep there! When Michael tried to put her down in her bed last night he realized that she is thisclose to being able to climb out of her crib. She can climb up the rails and get her waist on the top of the crib. If she gets her body weight off balance she could topple right over, so I'm not sure what we're going to do about sleeping arrangements now! I'm hoping I can get her in her bed tonight without waking her up!

Julia wore her National Champions t-shirt one more time while we are still the reigning National Champions. Alabama and LSU are playing right now and it's not looking too good for LSU. I think I'm going to have to hear the final score in the morning though, my bed is calling my name!

Sleepy Girl

While we were getting ready for church this morning Julia hung out with Nelli and Caddy. She loves her dogs!
And this is pretty much what Julia did all afternoon. I didn't think she was ever going to wake up, but she finally did - just in time for supper!
And since she slept all afternoon Julia stayed up a little later than usual and got some play time in. Now I'm crosing my fingers that she will sleep good tonight after her long nap this afternoon!
