The Year of the Monkey

Today Julia's class celebrated Chinese New Year with Ramen Noodles and fortune cookies!

Julia led her class's parade down to the library where they got to Skype with Alex!

Listening to Alex tell them about stinky tofu!

Julia asked Alex if there were horses in China.

Julia's class loved asking Alex questions about China and he did such a good job talking to them and answering their questions on their level. It was definitely the highlight of their day, and that's saying something since they had fortune cookies today!

After school, Julia went home with Lucy so it was just Charlotte and me. We got ice cream at Milky Moos. Her favorite flavor is their turtle cheesecake!

After ice cream we walked around downtown for a little bit. Jojo's has a little section set up where you can make your own lip gloss. Charlotte loved it. She had to add sparkles to hers!

She loved making the lip gloss and showing it off to everyone tonight. We just got home from dinner at McLin's and I'm so ready for the weekend even if it is going to be a busy one!
