Apparently this is how you prepare for your first beauty pageant! Julia got up this morning and had a little breakfast in bed and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while I showered. Anytime Mickey Mouse comes on TV she gets excited and starts waving and says "Hey". I definitely think she needs a trip to Disney! :)
Then I bathed her and she brushed her teeth and read her book. She loves brushing her teeth (and mine) and has really started to love to reading lately.
Julia and I backstage before her beauty walk!
Here are some pictures of Julia strutting her stuff! They aren't the best pictures, but they're all we've got! She was the only one in her age division who walked the stage. She didn't want to leave! She walked to the edge and spotted her dada and started saying "Hey Dada!" When we left the stage the Emcee said, "I think she's found her calling"!
Awards
I know these pictures are fuzzy, but I like them anyway!
Julia won! I couldn't believe it! Did I mention she entered the pageant LAST NIGHT! I'm so proud of her!
Getting her crown!
Adjusting her crown! Proud Mommy & Daddy!
Proud Grandparents!
She was past ready for a nap!
Sarah Strutting her stuff during her beauty walk!
And answering her onstage question. She wants to be a doctor teacher when she grows up. They teach doctors who don't know how to be doctors!
Julia was worn out! After her division was over I took her for a ride down the street to get a drink at McDonald's and to try to get her to sleep. She slept for a majority of Sarah's pageant, so she got a little bit of a nap in. She was one tired baby!
Future Little Miss Awards - Sarah won a Princess award!
Granddad with his girls!
After Sarah's portion we headed to Red Elephant for lunch and then we had to take the Queen back to the afternoon pageant so she could get pictures with all of the queens. She was way more interested in running around the stage and telling everyone "hey" than she was in standing there to take a picture! No worries though, along with a crown, sash and trophy she won a photo shoot! (and a Red Elephant gift certificate, a candy bouquet, and a princess cup!) So I promise to have some better pictures of the queen in her crown soon!
2011-2012 Twilight Queens...and a runaway baby!
Opening her present when we got home tonight
Can you tell how tired she was?
It was after 6:00 when we got home tonight and she was in bed before 8:00. She had a big day and that 45 minute nap just wasn't enough!
