We got up this morning and headed to SeaWorld San Antonio. Michael and I were a little disappointed, but we had a great time anyway. Sea World Orlando has a lot of animals and a few rides, Sea World San Antonio has a lot of rides and a few animals! It was just a little different than what we were expecting, but we all enjoyed ourselves anyway!
Julia & Michael watching the dolphin show, Azul.
"Hey dolphins!"
Silly entertainment before the dolphin show
Enthralled in the dolphin show
Synchronized swimmers in the dolphin show
Next we headed to Elmo and the Bookaneers!
Enjoying some lemonade from a straw(her favorite) before Elmo's show!
"Hey Elmo!"
They invited the kids to come stand at the edge of the stage during the show so I took Julia down front and we snagged an empty seat on the front row.
Shaking Elmo's hand!
Next, we headed over to the penguin exhibit for some cool air!
Then we decided we would ride a few rides. Since we had Julia we had to do the "Baby Swap" so Julia and I waited at the exit of the ride while Michael waited in line for Steel Eel. It was a great ride, except Michael lost his flip flop getting off! We had to wait for them to call maintenance to climb under the track and get it! We decided that, while the roller coaster was GREAT, it was way too hot to stand in the sun to wait for a ride Julia couldn't ride, so that was our only "grown-up ride" of the day!
After the walrus and seal show
After the walrus show we decided it was time for Julia's first ride! Sea World San Antonio has an entire area full of kiddie ride and a splash pad, called Seasame Street's Bay of Play. She and I waited in line for a ferris wheel type ride, but it was taking forever so we decided to try Abby Cadabby's Rockin' Wave! I'm not sure she loved it, but she didn't hate it!
Julia's first ride!
The only thing we had left on our list was Shamu's show, One. When Michael and I went to Sea World Orlando a few years ago they had an amazing Shamu show so this one was kind of disappointing, but still a Shamu show!
Watching the Shamu show
The Shamu show didn't hold her attention like the other shows. I don't know if it's because it was the end of the day and she hadn't napped or if it was because it was kind of anti-clamatic, or maybe both.
Some excitement from her!
When the whales "waved" at the audience with their tales, Julia waved back and said "hey"!
As soon as we put her back in her stroller and started walking she was OUT! We all had a long and hot, but fun day!
